    I have an older Sony with the DVI-D jack. When the cable company made me switch to their box I thought this cord would adapt the HDMI signal to my tv. However, there is no sound, only the HD picture. Perhaps I needed a different cable? The cable is fine. It just doesn't do what I thought it would.
