You are paying extra for it since this is not a common application plug and play.

It's an adapter for the pity sakes! If you have an old monitor and a new computer you might need one of these.

Ordered for store pickup. As of Feb 2025, local Best Buy store doesn't actually sell this DVI to HDMI cable. They only sell the reverse, a HDMI to DVI cable. Box says its for DVI computer and HDMI display -- the opposite of this webpage. Store clerk says the cable is bidirectional but nowhere on box or webpage says that. I'm not trusting my electronics to some clerk's verbal opinion.
