Easy to install and reliable.

The Eizo has only one display-port and 2 DVI-D output ports and the Mac Mini has one HDMI, two USB, and 4 Thunderbolt ports. I connected the male DVI-D connector to the Eizo monitor and the HDMI end of the cable to the Mac Mini's HDMI port. I have had no problems with this connection.

I would recommend anyone looking to throw out there old tech to check with Best Buy first. They can extend the life of tech products with their handy and effective accessories.

This cable is working very well with no issues at 1920x1200, 60 Hz. It was available in-store immediately which was one of the key decision points for the purchase.

Conect a new laptop to an older monitor

DVI is basically the the same digital cable with a older style connector. (DVI is NOT the same as VGA that was used in the 90s and early 2000s.) Anyway this cable is useful to connect a new laptop to a nice monitor that is about 10 years old or so.
