However, I can play music off my phone so I am good for now.

I did 2 of this and when we got on the plane it did not fit. Wrong cables that we cannot use and cannot return. I may take back one box that was unopened the other can't do anything about it since the box was tossed out. So when you get this you should already know that I'm bringing back a box.

I bought these cables and plugged it into my MBP and was not able to hear anything. There was no pop up indicator or anything when I plugged the 3.5mm end into the MBP. It looks I will have to purchase the Apple $35 cable instead because those are bi-directional unlike these generic ones.

better off spending money on the Apple version tbh
