Cable was long enough to reach electrical outlet from where I sit, and still short enough so it would be a problem carrying it around so it would always be handy.

Sure you can find cheaper cables elsewhere but these are very nicely made and durable. I can guarantee these will last much longer than the cheap ones you find elsewhere.
