Ablolutely works perfectly with 4k monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Risen from the ashes like the Phoenix, my Mac Mini late 2012 model has ascended into the 4k world of 3840x2160. All it took was a $20 dollar Insignia cable, mini displayport to displayport. Do not waste your time on a mini display port to HDMI because it won't work on the late 2012 Mac Mini.

Works for a 2015 rMBP
