It took me a week to shred a box full of papers because it overheats after two minutes and I had to let it cool off for an hour or so. Definitely not ideal for big jobs.

Was surprised with the quality and solid construction. Was happy with the simple safety interlock that prevents accidentally running while cleaning and the feature that shuts it down when overheated. I am very pleased with this purchase.

It wasn’t until I had a build up of papers that needed to be shredded that I wished I had gotten one with larger capacity. So I had to make frequent trips to empty the contents. But for normal use it’s wonderful. The overheating light was a big help to understand what was happening.

Prior to purchasing this model, I tried several other brands and they became non-functional after a short time of active use. I've had this shredder for two years now, on the other hand, and it continues to function flawlessly even with heavy usage. I would recommend spending the money on this model if you wish to have a shredder that lasts.
