Gets the job done

It seems like it will hold up to abuse, and it should be "cleaner" than my old one that had a 'drawer' style shred receptacle that always dumped paper on the floor whenever i pulled it out to empty it. This one just lifts off.

Good value for the power

The small final shred size is great to enable more secure recycling of your paper. It seems to strain a bit on CDs and the "10 sheet" feature, but I don't mind shredding less than 10 sheets at a time to possibly increase it's lifetime. It also accepts 8.5" wide sheets, which some shredders in the price range don't. All-in-all, very glad I researched and purchased this brand and model.

Basic shredder
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This shredder seems robust, shreds paper and credit cards (one at a time) well. I'm disappointed in the size of the shredded paper though, my previous shredder made paper into almost mulch and nearly impossible to reassemble. This shredder leaves paper in larger strips that would be easier to reassemble and doesn't even appear to be crosscut. So it is not the best for security in my opinion and that's really the point of shredding in the first place. My previous shredder's motor failed after many years and I chose this model because it's called a crosscut shredder and was available locally. Looks like shredder produces basic strips instead of crosscuts so I am disappointed in my choice.
