The blades seem to have held up so far. I use it for shredding junk mail and have even used it to shred a few credit cards. This is a great light duty shredder

It was all so simple to set up and has been working great. The top lifts off and it is easy to empty the receptacle. It does a thorough job in shredding credit cards and CDs. Definitely a worthy purchase for our home.

It is suppose to stop after shredding. I had to use a sharp object more than once to clear paper away from the sensor. Overall, it does it's job perfectly.

The complaint I have is the condition of the carton and the dislocation of the cushion pads made me think that this item was returned and sent back out. So my complaint is not with Insignia but with Best Buy
