my shredder works good it get job done it small fit perfect in the spot i made for it

This shredder is listed as a crosscut shredder on the box and on the Bestbuy website: a crosscut shredder does not cut the paper into rectangular strips that can be read, and instead cuts the paper into small shapes almost like paper confetti and makes it hard to impossible to read or paste together the cut pieces. Some crosscut shredders do a better job than others, but they all DO NOT cut the paper into readable strips. This shredder cuts the paper into small strips about 1.5 inches in length which can easily be read and pieced together by a thief with the patience and time to do it. I would NOT recommend this to anyone that wants a real crosscut shredder. Spend a few more bucks and get good crosscut shredder, it will be worth your peace of mind. I couldn't return mine since it was past the return period. SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUNKER.

Has been of great use in clearing out the clutter of mails and document that were present in the home. Also the additional specific card for credit cards helps in clearing out the Gift cards and credit cards I have in home being a churner of credit card points.

For the price it’s not a bad shredder.For home use it’s ok. Any more than6 pieces it tends to bog down and overheat.

I'm not a heavy user. But for my occasional shredding needs this does the trick. The opening is a little restrictive so if you are a heavy shredder you might want the next model up.

It is still shredding strong. I stay away from 10 sheets as advertised. More like 4 to 5 regular thickness maximum.

If you need to shred some personal/ work documents now and then this shredder will work perfectly. You can't load a lot of papers at a time I would say 5 would go through wothout any trouble. Overall it serves its purpose!

It was a good purchase for me to shred some of the personal documents. Although it’s noisy when working.

Why pay more ? Least expensive cross cut that I found. Works perfect for shredding those statements and bills at home. Just don't over feed it, be patient and don't shove more than 5 pages in the feed at a time and both you and the machine will be happy for years to come.

Overall the Insignia shredder is good as long as you don't try to shred too much paper at once. The safety features limit any chance of accidental injury.

Definitely getting the job done. Wish it was a little bit more powerful, but you get what you pay for. Satisfied with the purchase.

This product is great to easily dispose of documents while giving you peace of mind that your identity is safe. It does sometimes overheat, but given ten minutes to cool off, you are back in business.

Shredder is working great-no problems. The only thing I don’t like about it is the angle that you have to put your papers in at. My other shredder just took the papers straight down.

I'm a home organizer and this shredder has a handle and is small enough to carry with me when I'm organizing a home office and is powerful enough for shredding a client's paperwork well.

Shreds paper beautifully. What I don’t like is that it has a shield above where you feed the paper into the shredder and sometimes not easy to feed.

Okay so I got this and was surprised that it is really small. I mean I guess you get what you pay for. It is good for at home use only if you don’t have too much to shred

Shredder works really well it's just a little slow. If you're going to shred a lot definitely get a larger shredder.

It works - but I wish I’d have spent the extra $50-100 for one that could shred more sheets at a time. Overheats fast.

It really destroys old credit cards staples and mail. It sounds like it's struggling when a lot of papers go in at once, even though under the limit, but still gets the job done.

It does the job, but is noisier then my old one that died and the slot for the paper isn't designed the best.
