It states that the shredder shreds up to six pages and the max I shredded was four. After shredding three times it jammed. I had to clear the shredder four times and it took forever to clear each time. I am very disappointed in this product. The worst shredder I’ve ever used.

This is a great little shredder. But it will stop working after about a year. The warranty is good for one year.

Not intended for long use at one time. Patience required. Overall very useful.

Meets the basic need of house hold. Basket is too small we need to empty frequently.

Replaced my previous shredder with the Insignia and found it to be much more powerful. The container is smaller and I find it easier to unload.

Finally cleaned my office and got rid of all the paper. Definitely a necessity in any office.

Bout this to use around home. It’s constantly jammed, won’t take more than 2 pages at a time. We rarely use this, just wanted it to get rid of documents we didn’t want in the garbage. We’ll be buying something Different soon.

It died this summer after about a little over 2 years of use. The last 6 months required lots of cleaning out of the metal teeth after every 10 sheets or so. Works best if you don't do continuous sheets, pause after each one and allow the machine to stop before adding another.

Shredder is easy to use, although the paper has to be at a certain angle to insert into the paper feed slot. Easily shreds up to 6 pages.

I would say this lasted and worked well for only about 6 months. Then it just got bad and went to worse as times gone on. This past year it's stayed working by my "rigging" it up. When I saw shredders were the Deal Of The Day... this thing is so bad, I felt I needed to log in and review it, just so I could warn others. Keep in mind the 6 pages it says it can shred, is a stretch. The paper has to be a very thin stock to shred 6 pages. It lugs under 2 pages of heavier paper. It seems to shred and then the teeth grab the shredded paper and pull it back in and then it jams. The waste basket isn't deep so anything more than 1/2 full and it'll grab more shredded paper and jam. I have lubricated it, no help, took it apart to THOROUGHLY clean it out, no help. Reverse jams so I keep an old credit card handle to trigger the shred button and go between shred and reverse until it's cleaned itself out. I rigged up the safety shutoff switch to stay on so I could mount it over a larger box to keep it from picking up paper already shredded and jamming again. It still doesn't like more than a couple sheets of paper and 1 envelope of junk mail is hard on it. It's now at a point that when it does shred, it doesn't auto shut off when done. You either have to wack it on top or shut the switch off. WHY don't I buy a new and better one you ask? Because I don't shred much paper and this hunk of junk has burned me so bad, I won't buy another one unless it's a big, super heavy duty one. And I'm not spending over $100 to shred while this one has an ounce of life left in it.
