I tested this shredder by running a lot of sheets through it when I first got it. It worked perfectly and didn't overheat. I have learned that when a shredder is rated for so many sheets (this one is rated for 6) that if you run through that amount of sheets, it usually sounds like the machine is straining. It is best to use only 1/2 the amount of the rated number of sheets. I tested it with 3 sheets at a time and it did a great job. This shredder is not for heavy duty use but excellent for use when you don't have a large volume of sheets to shred. I have had very good results with Insignia products.

I bought this to shred sensitive documents as well as credit and debit cards and it works great. It has not once been stuck or jammed and works flawlessly.

SHredder works just fine. It was fairly priced, I particularly like the usage legend on the shredder.

Replaced an older shredder since it did not do staples and only a few pages. This shredder will shred 5-10 pages and keeps going. Only issue is the feeder is a little awkward, but after using we got used to the angle and everything works fine. Be careful when you empty if you overfill, the cross cut is really small and can make a mess if you aren't careful.

Simple and easy to use. Size is perfect too.I was just browsing and see this shredder, without hesitation, I purchased right away with no regrets.

I wanted a decent shredder for not a lot of money and this one has fit the bill perfectly.

When you throw away certain documents at home, you take your chances with compromising your information. For quite a while I was taking these sort of documents to my work and shredding it before work. It works but is not super convenient. Now I shred it at home, and if I want to have a fire on the yard, a source of starting material. The only drawback is that you have to be careful about how many papers you feed it at a time, but this is normal.

Not too bad for the price, after some time using tends to heat up a lot.

When I purchased this shredder I was looking for a shredder with a cross cut, was small, and had a credit card shredder. This shredder has it all. Very satisfied.

Never had an issue with paper getting jammed up. Easy to use and dispose the paper.

Tired of holding onto old mail with personal information or going through the painstaking effort to cut them up with scissors. Bit the bullet and bought this shredder, It does a good job shredding up the documents but shredding 10 pages at once might be generous and I've had a few credit cards that this thing would jam on. Shredding up for 5-6 pages though is no problem and would fit the average persons need.

Initially I was going in to the store for the cheapest paper shredder they had. A shredder is a shredder right? Wrong. I was replacing my cheap one that broke down all the time. This shredder is a little beast. I had a box of papers and it kept up for the most part. After about 20 minutes it locked up. At first I was concerned but seeing it was continually shredding for 20 minutes I was impressed. It's not commercial grade by any means but for a home office it's a great machine!

Good price! Works as advertised, just wish it had a bigger basket.

It does the job for an hour or so but stops cause it overheats but still decent for the job and price

This shredder does a great job with numerous pages of work documents. Worth the money and compact in size

Awesome for the price. I use this to shred mail and a few credit cards. Works great and I would definitely buy it again.
