You are supposed to be able to shred up to six sheets at a time. I found this not to be true. 3 is the max. It keeps getting all clogged up and overheating. I empty the container when it's half full, so it's not a problem of overage. Instead of the shreds falling into the container, they get all clogged up at the top. I've had to use tweezers to clear it out. It's quite frustrating. I suggest skipping this shredder and finding another.
