Our house is full of paper but this is really good for everyday shredding. I know it is the first but it can shred up to 10 sheets.. For the price and features.. For me it is the best.

I bought this shredder to replace another cross cut shredder that had quit working. This new shredder works much better. I could only feed one, and at max two pieces of paper in the old shredder, and even then it was slow. I can feed three and four pieces into this new Insignia shredder and it doesn't slow down. It operates much smoother than the previous model I had. I have not had an opportunity to try the credit card and cd/dvd shredding capability yet, but I am looking forward to not having to use scissors to cut up old credit cards.

This shredder is a high performance machine that allows you to shred 10 pages at a time without jamming. Perfect product for high volume shredding.

Works well with no paper jams and takes 6 sheets at a time. No problem with shredding credit cards.

Good value and shredds well. It takes 8 sheets at a time, but it does heat up if you ise it for large/continuous shredding.

I have purchased shredders before which after only minimal use jammed and stopped working, but not this one. It works great every time!

Nothing to complain about this shredder, it gets the job done with both paper and credit cards. Very nice value for the money spent

Shreds great! 6 sheets sounds a lititle bogged down. Slightly noisy but tolerable. Just fine for me!!

Shreds the paper as good as any cross cut if not a bit louder. Does what I need it to do so, success!!

This shredder works great. Nicely dispatches bundles of pages up to 10. Small enough to not get in the way in the office, too. Would have preferred a black color option.

This 6-sheet shredder is compact and does an excellent job. Have had no problems "shredding!" Just the right size and fits nicely under my desk.

I recently purchased my second "6-sheet" Insignia shredder. The first one lasted approximately 20 months and I didn’t want to spend too much money so I was not interested in upgrading to a better model. Both units were purchased on sale for $24.99. To me, they are like consumables. The first unit eventually stopped working when the gears started to wear to the point that the motor would lock up. Like some other reviewers, I could never shred more than one page at a time without the unit bogging down to where it had to be harmful to the motor. Unlike some other reviewers, I could run single sheets for more time than was recommended without having the unit overheat. To my dismay, the newer unit overheats much too quickly and I am still only shredding one sheet at a time. If this continues, I am taking it back because I don’t have the patience to put up with this much down time. Considering what I paid for the shredder, I am willing to invest a little more time to see what it is actually capable of doing. Again, for $25, you can’t expect too much. I just don’t understand how it can be marketed as a “6-sheet” shredder.

Works great. Slows down at 3-5 pages thick but otherwise it works great! Perfect size to tuck under a desk and stay out of sight until it’s needed.

I was a little hesitant about buying a little shredder because they seem kind of hit or miss on whether they're any good or not but this one does what I need it to pretty well and is still going strong. I don't do any more than 5 sheets at a time, I take out any big staples and try to do no more than 3 sheets if the paper is super duper thick. I haven't tried any credit cards or things in it yet. Its a nice compact size so its easy to fit in a good out of the way place.

Works really good! A little loud, but it is a shredder after all. Happy with this purchase

This shredder is just what i was looking for, easy to use and does the criss cut shredding...you can shred many sheets of paper at a time....and it does an excellent job

I shredded many documents and it did not clog or stop. I am impressed so far. I got it for a very good price also.

So far it has done well in shredding paper. It would be nice if it was larger, but again it is good for the price.

Very happy with this shredder! First one I've had that doesn't over heat or jam and I have run it about an hour at a time!
