This is the only shredder we’ve had so I don’t have anything to compare to, but it didn’t seem to last long. We use it for only a few mail items that have personal information on them. It worked well for about a year, but it overheats easily and gets jammed a lot now. It was inexpensive, so I guess I shouldn’t expect it to last long.

Perfect size for home use. Simple to use features. Window showing amount shredded is a very useful feature.

This INSIGNIA model NS-PS10CC CROSS CUT SHREDDER is by far the best SHREDDER that we have ever purchased. We had "apple boxes" filled with old receipts, medical statements, house purchase papers etc. This shredder handled everything we shoved down its throat! Yes, we had it moaning & groaning, but it just took it all. My wife forgot to empty it out, even though there is a CLEAR WINDOW, that you can see all the shredded pieces inside the bucket. It just kept chugging! We have not overheated this unit unlike previous shredders, from other manufacturers, that "TIMED OUT" while using the the shredder. With those shredders, we were waiting for up to fifteen minutes after heavy use. HECK YA, TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!

Shreds pretty smooth and it doesn’t get hot,like other shredders I have used in the past.

Nothing super fancy but it does the job for people who aren't shredding constantly. Perfect for the occasional bill or statement and any old credit cards. Has jammed up on me once but I was able to take care of. Not great for long runs of shredding it will auto shut off after about 2-3 minutes of continues use.

Last shredder we had would get hot very fast this shredder does not get hot at all and I love it great size for my personal office

I use the shredder on a monthly bases. It works very efficiently, was a good deal for the money.

My old shredder finally died, and I was shocked at how expensive shredders can be. I wanted one that shredded better than just long strips, so that eliminated many shredders on the market. I would give this shredder raving reviews, as it's powerful and quick, but I was expecting it would shred into little diamond shaped pieces. It does shred pretty small rectangles, so I gave it five stars ... but not as small as my old one.

Easy to use shredder. Good price. Shred anything on paper that you don't want untrustworthy thieves to get your information off of from your trash.

This item is small & fits is a small space. Works much better than the one I had from Staples

It's not a fancy device with lots of bells and whistles. It's a low cost shredder that works fine and shreds cards. A little noisy but worth buying.

Does an excellent job of shredding our papers. I really like that it also shreds Credit cards with no problems.

Basic shredder can handle multiple sheets of paper at once as well as credit cards. It says it can shred CDs but I haven't tried yet. Good value for home use.

It shreds great, its not that loud, shreds at a decent speed. Great price for a shredder and i like how you can see if its reached its capacity of being full.
