This replaced a shredder I bought for about $200. I was surprised at how many pieces of junk mail it took before slowing down. I was at around 8 and it still went through. I didn't wanna overdo it but that was enough for me to know this was a steal. Great for the price. I don't use it every day maybe once a week. not sure if this would be a daily grinder. no pun intended.

Like the size and how small it shreds. Have had no problem even shredding cards. The top is a little heavy but has a handle which helps.

Everything seemed to be OK however I returned it. Many of the reviews warranted caution but so did every other brand and model. Still I thought this Insignia might still serve my purpose. It was not as noisy as my now dead 15+ year old Fellowes strip shredder but was still quite noisy. I had reservations about the length of the cooling off period following overheat. I try to shred as needed to minimize the occurrences requiring long period of non-stop shredding, however there are times when I still need non-stop shredding. I don't have the patience to have my shredding interrupted by lengthy cooling off periods. The final straw was the lift off head which was considerably heavier than my old Fellowes and was just too cumbersome to work with. I've opted to go to a pull-out drawer model on wheels. Not sure yet whether that decision was any better.

I bought my brother this Shredder so he can safely and securely get rid of unwanted items. Its compact and easy to use.

This works pretty good. My family shred almost everything. I purchase this oraying it last a long time.

Love the CC portion of it. A bit loud but does a great job

it really does do the job, i like how it works but sometimes if you put too much it will get stuck

My old shredder was loud and heavy to lift. Not this one! Very happy with this shredder. Shreds well! Quiet operation.

Paper shredder does awesome job of shredding multiple sheets of paper. Also does great at cutting up credit cards.

A bit on the noisy side but works great and at a great price. The noise I can deal with, it's not like I am running it constantly.

I am very pleased with this product. It does a great job without overheating. I was able to shred many document quickly.

I have had this shredder for about a month or two! It works fantastic! Even shreds credit cards and CD's. It does not let you do any more sheets then stated on box .. It will jam if you try! You do have to take top off to empty .. It does not slide out and if you use a lot you will have to clear the shredder from paper that is stuck .. But I didn't think it would shred as small as it does . I love it and works great for my needs ,I use it several times a week! It's a great purchase and the price isn't bad at all!

This unit works good for small amounts of paper. The only major problem has been if you have to use it for an extended amount of time the unit heats up and shuts off. You’ll have to wait a good 15 to 30 minutes before you can continue to use it.

Easy to use, does jam sometimes, hard to clean. But overall good product

The price was right when I bought this shredder. So far, it has performed up to par, and I had this for over a month.

This shredder is small and easily fits next to a desk and so far has been excellent and shreds easily.

Works well. Also cuts up credit cards. Really useful for destroying papers with financial information. But, it will jam when you try two many papers. My first one stopped working and best buy replaced it for free. Now, this one just works fine and I'm happy with it.
