I have owned two brand name shredders before this. All have broken. So far this insignia model works better than them. I thought about getting a more expensive model, but kept an eye one this model as it goes on sale for a lower price every now and then. I missed a really low sale price but a few weeks later BB had a sale and I grabbed it in store. Like any non industrial/professional shredder do not feed multiple pages and it should last a long time. So far so good!

I only really use it for shredding my mail, been using it for a month now and I love it.

Works well. Also cuts up credit cards. Really useful for destroying papers with financial information. But, it will jam when you try two many papers. My first one stopped working and best buy replaced it for free. Now, this one just works fine and I'm happy with it.

I would recommend this shredder if you don't have high shredding demands. It will overheat if you shred continuously for more than several minutes (then you have to wait a few minutes for it to cool). Works great for getting rid of daily junk mail - wouldn't recommend this for heavy usage.

So far so good. This shredder gets the job done. It may be too early to give '4-stars' but I like what I've seen thus far. I'm not sure what all the comments are about w/respect to it being messy. Don't allow it to fill up the entire bin...hit reverse before emptying. I paid less than $25 for it. I'm pleased.

My old shredder could not handle big jobs without overheating. I needed something with more power and I found it in this model. After cleaning out some old files stored in a closet, I had a huge pile of material that required shredding. Commercial shredding is by the pound and mine weighed a lot. This shredder was much less cost wise and did the job just fine. It did take 2 sessions because of the volume but I was very impressed with this machine. I am very happy with my purchase.

If you do not shred a lot of documents this is a great value for your money. When it get over heated it stops until it cool down. The shreds do gather by the teeth to much for me. However, for what I paid it was worth it. I actually purchased two. One for myself and one for my sister.

It's supposed to be good for 6 sheets of paper. It does the job but you can hear the struggle with any paper over 4 sheets thick. It will shred cards too and has a slot to indicate where to insert it. Again, it seems to struggle with those too. It does have a good price and has thermal overload protection built in. If you have a huge stack of paper or files to shred make sure you have plenty of time in the day to do it as this shredder gets warm quick and then shuts down from there. Takes about an hour to cool enough to use again. I do like that it WILL NOT work unless it's attached to the waste bin preventing little fingers (or my own) from getting caught in the teeth from the bottom side. They are very sharp.
