Excellent shredder for home use. The shredded pieces come out small enough that it gives you peace of mind. I've shredded lots of paper with no issues. I don't over do it to the point where it overheats or put in so many sheets they get stuck, although it does have a reverse if you do. Even shreds credit cards. Runs quieter than most shredders. Love this wee beast.

Confetti anyone? This crosscut shredder does exactly what I wanted it for. Turning old records (not the vinyl kind) into confetti so no one could even try to pierce anything together if they stole it from the trash. Security, security is what this machine provides. I bought it on a Deal of the Day sale for a great price so I would recommend watching for it to come up again on sale.

This is the third Insignia Shredder I have owned, only a different version. Shedder works great on 7-8 sheets per pass. I like the handle on the top for lifting the motor part off the waste basket. I have owned for 30 days and use it every day, no complaints

This day and age everyone needs a shredder. this is an excellent model for the price. no problems so far. and i shred a ton.

I bought this item simply to shred junk mail and unneeded documents that might contain personal information. It's good for that, but I wouldn't use it if you're someone who shreds papers everyday. I bought mainly because it was cross-cut ( a must in my opinion) and low priced. If you use a shredder everyday you might need to spend a little more.

We've now gone through 4 different shredders all of which died after a short while. Yes we do a lot of shredding but so far this shredder seems to be handling the volume quite well. It does still overheat at times but not nearly as often as our previous ones. Would recommend it to our friends.

Works great! I needed one that resulted in shreds that could not be put back together and this does the job. It holds a decent capacity but I always keep a garbage bag nearby when shredding so it doesn’t get overloaded. The overhead light is an added bonus but mine didn’t come on even after working on it for a few hours. All in all, would recommend.
