Cleaning up old records and needed an inexpensive but powerful shredder to render old records safe for garbage disposal. The number of sheets is limited and it overheats when running it too long, but overall it’s great value for the cost and gets the job done.

I was looking for a new shredder to replace an old bulky one. This one was a decent price and it was a crosscut (more secure than straight cut). It doesn't take up much room and it's not extremely loud either. If you're not looking for something fancy, this is a good fit.

I purchased the Insignia shredder recently after owning one just like it for over 10 years. My old shredder just gave out. I use the shredder for home use and it does a great job! I was surprised to learn as I began searching for a new shredder that I could still purchase the same shredder; however, it was now sold under the Insignia name. Good buy for the money.

Good for the price. Sometimes it gets stuck shredding if you place paper on the left side but never in the middle or right side. Better than the one I got on Amazon that broke twice though for sure. 4 stars because it is really good for the price but obviously not the best because of the price.

Overall, this is a decent paper shredder. Although it doesn't come with much of a manual, it's very easy to figure out. The top is pretty heavy for soem reason but not a deal stopper. The angle at which you put the paper in the shredder is a bit off which makes it not so easy to use. Overall, still a good device.

Over the years, I’ve bought multiple Insignia brand products because of the price savings. I purchased this shredder because it was significantly less than the comparable “name brand” shredder. I’ve found I can shred 15+ documents at one time smoothly. I’ve yet to jam the shredder or see it fail. If you want to shred your bank statements, credit card statements, or any other sensitive document, I highly recommend this product.

It shreds well. But I wouldn’t try to shred more than 4 sheets of paper at one time, it overheats faster that way if you’re shredding a lot of paper. It’s smaller than I thought it would be, but it’s perfect for my little work from home space/office.
