Overall It does the job and good for the price. Only reason giving a 4 stars was because bottom bucket it’s very light material, like it can easily break. I don’t have kids if you do consider take this in mind.

So far, my new Insignia Crosscut Shredder is good. No problems for my at home use. It is easy to use and easy to empty out when full of my shredder paper. If I accidentally put too much paper in to shred it cuts off ASAP. After it is easy to clean out and restart shredding. Good price, good value for home use and stores well.

shreds ok after 20 min it does get a bit warm you need to power off and wait 10 minutes before turning it back on. for the price it's fine if you do not have patience this is not for you. it works for me.

The compact unit is powerful and grinds up the pages quickly. Just wish I had bought a bigger model as I shred a lot of paper, magazines, junk mail. Now that I have used it over the past two months, it has its use for now the occasional shred.

Solved the problem of excess paper clutter around apartment. Bought it to shred pre-approved credit card offers which someone apparently got hold of out of the trash and applied for credit in my name. Had the unexpected plus of turning all the junk mail clutter around the apartment into 1 bag of shredded paper a month. My son loves sticking everything into it. Watch out that your kids don't shred important stuff lol.

Looks good seems to be heavy duty, runs great, just what I wanted.

Probably not the worst paper shredder but for the price I would expect a little more. Was hoping that I could just stick mail in without having to open it since it supposedly shreds up to 6 pages but even thin mail with 1 folded page inside causes the machine to slow and overheat which means all you can do is wait until it cools down then try to back out of the situation. Jammed the first day. Learned my lesson. One sheet at a time and nothing too thin or flimsy either. That also folds around the gears and causes the machine to choke. :(

The shredder works well. It is a bit tricky entering paper, as the slot is almost obscured by the handle. On the other hand, that handle makes this shredder really easy to move around plus displays do's and don'ts right on it (the handle.)
