The shredder does its job, the only issue we have had is that the unit overheats and has to rest pretty often, took us about 4 days to shred an office box of paper due to having to stop often to let the unit cool off.

This shredder has pros and cons. Pros are it's compact and can be put out of sight. Easy to dump out the shredded papers. However, it does not preform like it says it does. It says 6 sheet maximum shred at a time. It can't do 6, let alone 4 sheets without getting bound up. 3 sheets is the maximum and it still binds up at times. The shredded paper sometimes gets shredded in backwards and binds the machine. You have to use the reverse button to clear out the bindings at times. Had I not had a gift card and 20% off of this shredder I very well may have returned it because it is not worth it's full price. It will do fine for minor papers which is what I will mainly be using it for, but if you are someone who needs to shred a lot daily this may not be for you.

I brought this shredder because the one had stop shredding paper, now that I have this one I really love it because I brought it in June and have not emptied it yet because it's not full. It shreds the paper and cards very fine, this is great due to I don't have to worry about my name or personal information being thrown in the trash.

This is the perfect little shredder for your home. I don’t use it often so it works just fine for me. I did shred a credit card and it handled that pretty good. Definitely worth the buy if you just need a small shredder and the waste basket is small as well. If you don’t sit it on the basket correctly then it will not work at all.

I decided not to buy the next model up that handles more papers because I had a one time large shredding job to clean out some files. And more so than the cost difference between this one and the next model up--the next model up was significantly heavier and I intended to store it upstairs when not using it regularly. Although the description says it can shred 6 sheets at a time, I would not recommend more than 4 at a time. And it will pretty quickly overheat and shut off. I had to leave it about 30 minutes each time to cool down. So my project ended up taking several days. Now I only use it for occasional shredding of one or two pages at a time. And for that it works just fine. If you have a large project and lots of patience you can save a few bucks by going with this one.
