We use it daily never over heats! A bit loud though

I am shredding everything! and having fun cleaning out all my unnecessary papers! Wish I would have gotten this along time ago. I would give it an excellent rating but I have nothing to compare it to.

Have used this shredder several times since purchasing. I have not had any problems with jamming or overheating. I like the microcut much better than the strip cut. The strip cut is too wide and important information can be seen. That isn't a problem with this shredder.

I actually purchased this on a daily deal and then had some BestBuy bucks. I ended up paying $15 for it. It works pretty fast, but is a little noisy. The basket Is small and does seem to fit just about anywhere under the desk.

Shreds fast. Good item for home, but fills up quick! Do NOT put too many sheets in. You will regret it. Shreds CDs and old credit cards! Love having it though and worth the investment.

After a high-priced (>$100) shredder quit working after a few months, I looked around for a replacement. My research led to many positive reviews of the Insignia shredder. The price was much less than my previous shredder so I decided to give it a shot. This shredder has been a great addition to my office, handling my shredding needs like a champ. At the end of the year I review my paper documents and this shredder easily handles upwards of 100 pages flawlessly. Keep in mind this number of documents might require a couple of "phases" as the built-in temperature monitor will keep the unit from overheating. If you wait 10-15 minutes, it is ready to go again. I highly recommend this shredder!

Great shredder for the price. Perfect for home paperwork

A bit noisy & overheats a bit quickly but regardless does the job. As long as its more for personal/here & there use then office use.

Great product for the money, preforms better than expected

My previous shredder was a different brand and lasted about 10 years or so, but was limited to two sheets at a time. This shredder allows for 10 sheets at a time and shreds credit cards like it was a piece of paper. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far so good.

Does the task that it's meant to do. However after only shredding a couple of items, its starts to get really hot. I still use it, but it's a little concerning.

I purchased this shredder for a great price around one and a half years it still works like the day I purchased it. I only wish they had a way to install a disposable bag so as not to make a mess when you open it up to empty it out.

Works great for home office. One small critique would be the feeder as a little lip on which paper will get hung up on. Not a huge issue, just takes a little maneuvering and it shreds great.

Good for smaller spaces. Easy to overheat if used for to long consecutively, but the auto shutoff works very well. It will start back up once it cools off. Very good for small offices or college dorms.

Great low volume personal shredder. Excessive use may cause overheating.
