I’ve had the paper shredder for only 1 month but I had LOTS of old bills & paperwork that needed shredded & that was the reason for the purchase. I like the fact that I don’t need to remove staples & it shreds old credit cards easily.

does a good job. i am happy with it. can not shred as many papers at a time like my old shredder but the price was good. especially like the handle on top

I have never expected this item to last me a life time but I did expect better. First of all it is not able to shred 6 sheets at a time. It over heats when it does work. It gets jammed and doesn’t shred completely. It’s not worth buying. I have never purchased this brand and I never will again. From what I understand it is a Best Buy brand. It is unreliable and not worth the purchase. If you want some thing that last and actually works stay away. Did I mention that the motor just burnt out. What a horrible smell.

This is a great shredder. It works like a shredder should. If you shred credit cards make sure they're actually broken apart. I checked and it cut them but the pieces were all still connected.

This is a great shredder. It is powerful and does a great job shredding. It is heavy when emptying and causes a bit of a mess but all in all great!

This shredder works fine. I was able to shred a CD musical disk as well as paper sheets. On another day, I shredded a large amount of old paper and multiple old disks and the small mlni shredder pointed blades are still sharp.

Works well for the occasional paper shreds, not a heavy duty one if that is what you are looking for. I like the small window at front that shows when the can is almost full and it’s time to empty. What I like the most is that is not bulky and fits nicely under my desk.

The shredder works great. It is quick and has a large shredding receptacle. It lacks a handle to move the unit around. This is a drawback.

It’s a shredder. It works. Purchased for personal use. I may have had a pile to shred, but was disappointed when the light came on indicating the shredder was overheating. I was feeding less than 6 pages at a time and nothing extraordinarily thick… this is my second shredder, but first insignia brand. Got the price, it works.

This is a replacement that finally quit. I wish someone would have told me about the need to occassionaly lubricate the unit. The only complaint is that it seems to struggle with any more than 4 pieces of paper.

Its good for home use,but use it repeatedly for a half an hour it'll over heat. That said it does what is advised. A great buy for light home use

Shredding for home office needs works nice. I've been doing 6-9 sheets and it works fine. Also works with brochures, credit cards with no problems so far. There's a reverse button in case paper is jammed. I always try not to abuse any machine so this been a great aid to our home.

This is the best shredder at this price. It does after a while of shredding auto shut off because it gets too heated. But that’s only because I was shredding a lot of papers in an hour time. If you use it periodically there’s no issues.

I relented to get this shredder at first because it was so small. After doing some shopping online & in store I found this to be the best deal going for my mild shred use. I have to say that I am pleased with my purchase. This model can shred quite a bit and it is powerful.

Works well for shredding personal documents. Not for big jobs as it will overheat and shut down for awhile. I've shredded 40 or so sheets 2 or 3 at a time at one sitting with no problems. Takes care of my needs.

This insignia is a good shredder for minimal use. It will overheat if you continually shred for more than a few minutes it will have to be turned off. But for light use it is a good shredder.

I have had shredders burn out on me before with normal use. This thing has shredded anything I throw at it (of course within limitations). I do not shred more than 6 pages at a time. I got new credit cards (the ones with the chip in them) and this thing ate up my old credit cards without any problem.

I needed a shredder for my personal papers. This shredder is amazing and even shreds credit cards with ease. I only hope this shredder could shred more sheets at a time.

Ease of feeding paper was great but must adhere to feeding not more than 4-5 sheets at a time to prevent stoppage of machine. Otherwise great for home use.

This shredder is great to have around the home. With so much identity theft, this shredder, cross cuts the documents in an excellent pattern that makes it impossible to read the information.
