This insignia is a good shredder for minimal use. It will overheat if you continually shred for more than a few minutes it will have to be turned off. But for light use it is a good shredder.

This is a replacement that finally quit. I wish someone would have told me about the need to occassionaly lubricate the unit. The only complaint is that it seems to struggle with any more than 4 pieces of paper.

If you don’t have a ton of papers to shred, then this is the shredder for you. I was pleased in its ability to run for a long time without overheating.

Good for small amount of shredding otherwise, it overheat (red light) and you have to wait for the green light (ready to use).

I had sensitive documents that I didn’t feel comfortable throwing in the trash. Too many “nosey”. I found this paper shredder, and it’s perfect for my home office needs. Very good purchase!

this is a fantastic shredder for around the house. I have accumulated so much paper from college, wife printing recipes, a child in school.....shredding A LOT of paper! still works great! perfect for home or home office.

I have had shredders burn out on me before with normal use. This thing has shredded anything I throw at it (of course within limitations). I do not shred more than 6 pages at a time. I got new credit cards (the ones with the chip in them) and this thing ate up my old credit cards without any problem.

Louder than previous one but I bought it for its low cost and ability to grind up paper and it does that. Serves its purpose. Decent value.

This shredder is great to have around the home. With so much identity theft, this shredder, cross cuts the documents in an excellent pattern that makes it impossible to read the information.

Works well for shredding personal documents. Not for big jobs as it will overheat and shut down for awhile. I've shredded 40 or so sheets 2 or 3 at a time at one sitting with no problems. Takes care of my needs.

Great for simple home use from time to time. This would not be ideal for a office use where you are shredding a lot of documents with lots of employees. I would only recommend it for personal home use. Great shredder!

It’s a great little shredded for the price I gave for it. So if you are looking for a reasonable priced shredder I would recommend this one

I've never owned an Insignia product before, but this shredder performs as I would expect it to and has been able to handle credit cards and even old cds that I needed to shred. Would purchase the Insignia brand again.

For the price it was worth it! It does need down time to cool down and cannot be used for 20-30 minutes straight or it will overheat which is a downside but the instructions does tell you that.

This shedder does a good job of what it was designed to do. Light work. It was not designed to shred hours of material. A few sheets at a time for the average person, home , maybe once a day? Run in reverse once in a while to clear paper clumps. Works good for me.

This is a very good shredder for your money. It’s powerful and will shred up to 10 pieces at one time. The container holds a lot of shredded paper. And it’s a crisscross rather than straight line shredding which is an added value. I would recommend this product

I bought this to get rid of bags of material I had stored. It works great. I wish I had bought a bigger one so I wouldn't have to empty it as much.

I like the fact that it will shred the paper in tiny pieces. You can also shred credit cards as well. It have the reverse feature as well. It’s not too loud when you shred things.

I have found this shredder to work as advertised. I Would recommend avoiding shredding envelopes. The adhesive makes paper stick to the rollers. Running wax paper through the unit seems to ease the problem.

The shredder works well and shreds those important papers that you don't want getting into the wrong hands. It is a little small which means you need to empty the container because it feels up quickly if you go on a clean up binge.
