Does the job - sometimes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My HP Envy refuses to recognize that it is physically attached to my 5-yr old Dell PC no matter which USB port I plug into. Spent 3 hrs with Geek Squad to no avail. The HP printer sporadically recognizes when it is hooked to the new Asus PC; the rest of the time the printer is "off-line". At least the the Asus recognizes the networked HP printer. I do not believe it's the cable's fault - but rather the HP Envy. Maybe that is why its sold without a printer cable anymore!
