What can you say about a USB cable. It just works.

I purchased this because I needed a Male to Male Type USB cable for an old 3.0 enclosure. I purchased this thinking I was getting what I needed...but man, was I wrong. I'm no slouch when it comes to technology, so it was making no sense–why was my drive still not working despite having my cables plugged in properly/snugly? After digging a little deeper, it turns out this impostor of a data cable actually has software embedded into it, Insignia proprietary software for transferring data. So while you think your buying a simply USB Male to Male you're actually getting a dongle loaded with garbage software. I mean, what type of marketing person comes up with such a illogical idea? TL;DR; Don't buy this "cable." It's the hottest of hot garbage.

I bought this on sale hoping it would work to transfer data between data collectors but it was unsuccessful. The cable did work for what it was supposed to and transferred data between computers.

Nice that the transfer software was integrated into the cable, which worked ok. However, I was able to transfer files quicker on my hone network without the cable

I bought this with help of a salesperson.The box had no information to tell if it’s for windows 7 or 8. I had window 8 and the cable could not be used.

Purchased a new Dell PC, transferred files effortlessly from older pc to new pc. Clearly other ways to transfer, ie "cloud", but an easy way if you have not set up cloud acct with any vendor.

This seems like a god idea but a little more instuction would be great. It didn't transfer everything that I needed from my old laptop

This transfer cable is easy to use and convenient. No software to download by being directed to a website. Software automatically launches. I would definetly recommend this product.

this usb transfer cable works nice, better than saving all the files in the cloud and them dumping them to a new computer, if you're transferring lots of files, like 100 GB or more.

This product works well. Your typical male to male usb cord. I rated 3 out of 5 stars because of the price. Way to expensive for something so basic

Instructions were less than basic, far less than complete. Tried to transfer files 3x between old & new laptops. Called Geek Squad and they couldn't/wouldn't help and recommended I transfer the files between laptops using a thumb drive. Really? Unless you are a computer pro, the instructions are of little use. Sad.

Just plug and go.... easily transferred data from old mac to this new pc. Great value as it can be used to transfer data again and again as I replace older machines with the new one.

Sad that it is so hard to find one of these cables these days. Glad Best Buy carried it, because nowhere else seemed to.

It works but not what I thought it would be. You have to download a program and then transfer files. My mistake and I was trying to do something else

Cable did not work for me. I took my computer to Geek Squad and they handled the transfer of data for me. Great job.
