There are plenty of folks who need to transfer their personal music and photos, etc. from their older pc to a newer pc, you would think that a simple cable with the common USB 2 should be under $20 - about $15 or less, but $25.00 and it's not gold plated connectors.

It is a one-way data transfer cable that uses software built into one of the ends. I mistakenly originally bought this looking for a two-way USB to USB data cable, which I admit was my fault. For those looking for the same thing, skip this product. In order to give it a fair review I tried to use it for its intended purpose, but when I plugged it into my PC there was built in software that I wasn't willing to use. For the simple purpose of transfer data, I'd use something that doesn't use embedded software, such as a USB stick.
