I purchased this hoping it would work as a way for me to charge my tablet through the usb. However, it didn't work. This is just for transferring files. I returned it.

I could not get it to work properly since the driver software only opened a file menu on windows 10 and could not recognize any COM ports. I bought another rs-232 cable from Insignia where I had to find the drivers on a third party website instead of insignia.

I bought this cable to do as it says, transfer data. What they do not tell you before purchasing is that you need to run some included software in order to be able to use the cable as a cable. This means that you can ONLY use it to transfer data between two computers that have the ability to run this software. You can NOT use it to transfer data between a hard drive and a computer, between an android device and a computer, or between any other devices that cannot run the software. This is a stupid product. Why not give the option to use the software, but if the user chooses not to use it, have it act as a standard USB cable. For $30 you'd expect some of the basic functionality of a USB cable to be present.

After transferring some of my files. I took a look to see if all the file made it to my new computer & some of them are not showing up at all. There are about a small amount that did not copy over to my new computer at all. I'm not for shore what is the deal, but if I can't transfer to my new computer. I can't recommend this item in my case.

You need this cable to make transfer from a PC to a MAC streamlined and smooth no question.

The manual says it will work with Windows 10. WOMP! Don't waste your money. $30 for a cord? Just buy a new flash drive and you can use it for other things later. This was the biggest headache for the most simplest of tasks.

I couldn't get this item to work while trying to switch my data to a new computer. My old computer would not recognize the cable. The easy transfer process for me was far from easy. I returned this item!

This product is of no value, it does not perform as advertised. Instructions (total of 2 steps, Plug in cable, click run), do not accomplish anything and there is no way to continue. Nothing on the box or the instruction sheet tell you how to install it or transfer files. In my opinion, companies who produce these products and/or print the useless instructions, should be required to use it themselves prior to inflicting it on the public.

Just bought as a long USB cable. Haven't used the built in file transfer software.

Total waste of money. Wanted to copy data from one Windows 10 64 bit machine to another Windows 10 64 bit machine. Followed the instructions to the letter and all I got was a spash screen then it just quit.

Works perfectly. Just connected my two laptops and a software popped up asking me to drag my files over. Easy to use.

I bought this cable to move files from a Windows 7 computer to Windows 10. It does not work. The software that is built in does not work and Windows 10 does not have the Easy Transfer Software that Windows 7 has.

I had to buy this cable to hook up a credit card reader and it helped the set up process go smooth.

I wasn't able to transfer any files from mac to mac using this cable. The Go!Bridge software did not work properly. Total waste of money.

The cable cannot be used to transfer any other data other than files. If you attempt to use it for pen displays or file transferring to devices other than PC/Macs, then you need to get something different.

Was a waste of time! Every time I tried to transfer info it would not show it been transferred and then I would go back to the original device the info was gone and I ended up losing vital information.
