Look no further; buy this 65" bargain NOW!!!

I bought a 50" Samsung UHD 4K to replace my 55" and realized it was just too small. Plus, there were only 2 shows on Netflix in 4K (House of Cards & Breaking Bad), so the upscaling was the only benefit of 4K. It's going to be a couple years before 4K is viable.
This 65" is a marvel. I was able to adjust the settings and get VERY CLOSE to the quality of the upscaling of the UHD 4K tv I returned. The best adjustment is to use the 24 frames per second option under the advanced picture options, and you'll get a fantastic picture.
This has no Smart features. My kids have Xbox, so the lack of smart features were a $200 discount, plus the guides on the smart TV's are just eye candy if you know how to use the cable box anyhow. If you want the best bang for you buck, this one is a no-brainer. The Insignia parts are LG and Toshiba anyways, so don't let vanity of the name brands get the best of your budget.

Best TV over 60" for the money.

Save money and get this TV without the Smart features. A Roku or a BluRay player with apps gives you way more and saves money. Great picture and easy to use. Quick to set up and connect. I suggest dialing the Sound settings up on the Base to get more full sound. The basic out of the box setting sounded flat. The basic Color settings were high so I dialed it down for a great picture. You can ballance the Backlight and Brightness setting for solid Blacks and bright Whites for better contrast. Would recommend to friends an family for a great deal on a big screen TV. If you want to save more and can go with a smaller screen size. The 40" and 50" are great deals as well. Got the 65" for the family room and a 40" for the bedroom for the cost of a Big screen Smart TV. The Insignia has more HDMI inputs as well.

Love the value. Can't beat the price but picture is good at best. I've tinkered with the settings and brought it up to good or very good range. Handles high end video source well like blue ray and OTA channels but compressed channels from cable and sat is below average and SD picture is not good. The black levels are not good also and there is LED light bleeding from the corners when all black or dark colors. That being said the value makes up for it for the average viewer and would be a great value at $700 to add to a living room or even a theater. The value is enough to just push it to recommend level.

First, you shouldn't buy this thinking you're going to get something that has the same picture quality as a Samsung or equivalent. That being said, I think the picture is perfectly fine (same with the sound), and if you're good at calibrating your TV, you can get a really, really good picture out of this thing; however, I actually think the presets work well, so I haven't needed to do much calibrating.
Picture aside, there are a couple of surprising advantages that Insignia's have over more expensive brands. The obvious one is the number of HDMI ports. For some weird reason, not many high-end models have more than 2 HDMI ports. The other notable advantage is the gaming mode. HDTVs are notorious for having an annoying amount of lag, even in game mode. Cheaper models, though, tend to have better input lag scores, and Insignia falls into this category. It's still not tournament/monitor grade, but it's better than the Samsung I have, so if you're going to do any gaming with this, you should be all right.
All-in-all, very happy with the purchase. Since this is a BB brand, I recommend keeping an eye on it and waiting for the price to fall because these go on sale ALL the time.

I am very happy with the quality of picture based upon the cost.
I have ran the Disney WOW Blu-ray and the following are my current settings for a darker room. Usually just use a lamp at night.
Backlight 11, Brightness 54, Contrast 49, Color 50, Tint R4, Sharpness 20, Aspect Wide, Overscan Off, DCR High, Motion Smooth (24FPS for Blu-ray), Color Temp Normal, NR Low, Adaptive Contrast Off
These setting produce a picture that I am very happy with the majority of the time, some commercials/shows seem a little washed at times but I am pleased overall.
Also remember that each input has its own set of settings and has to be set separately.

This TV is hands down the BEST Value in the Market. If you buy a smaller TV that is 4K, 3D, and full of other smart features, your guests will not be as impressed as they would be with this beautiful battleship.
65 inches always impresses guests more than a 50inch. The picture is great, sound is very powerful, and it’s also ROKU compatible.
If you’re looking for a TV of this quality at this size, you are going to spend at least 500 dollars more. Save your money and don’t buy a 4K TV yet, this TV is great and will last for years. At that time I’ll buy a 4K TV when there is actually enough content in 4K. SIZE MATTERS!!!
PS: I got this TV for $719.99, Open Box deal. After two weeks of testing the TV, I went back and bought the warranty just in case something happens. So i spent under 800 dollars for a 65in TV.
ALSO, this TV is 60HZ, not 120HZ. There is an advanced feature in the picture settings, that allows you to up convert to 120HZ. So if your cool with a great TV with 60HZ, buy with confidence.

Thus is my 4th insignia TV and I have no complaints with any of them. Great value for your dollar and quality picture on all of them. This one in particular has small borders on the sides and top with a slightly thicker strip on the bottom. The size is great I paid 799 for this unit and the picture was solid right upon plug in. I'm sure you could tweak it to your preference to make it even better. This TV is fairly light for its size which was a big factor for me since I move pretty much annually. All in all another great TV for a good price from insignia. Also Xbox games look great on it.

I purchased 3 of these TV's to use as display monitors for an offsite event. These were selected because of their price point and the fact that they had VGA connections on the back. They did not disappoint! Easy to set up and the picture was crisp and clear. You can not beat these for under $1,000! Would have given 5 stars but have a small minor pixelation in the lower right hand corner on one unit but I would purchase these again.

This TV was not displayed in stores, I took a chance on it and went to best buy and order it in store. Once the TV arrived and it was all set up, I was blown away. I love it, great buy, great, investment, great brand, and the Insignia is just good as any other brand. Also add a Roku to it and you don't even need a smart TV. Another bonus was Andre the employee who assisted my wife and I. He gave us all the details, specs, and pricing. A very honest employee, he helped speed up the process and he didn't overhype the product. I have no complaints. Anyone who has a problem with this TV just likes to complain its simple and great and my wife and I and very happy with this product.

This is a great large screen tv. The picture and sound are both great, which has been an issue for other flat screen tvs. The weight of the TV is minimal, allowing it to be lifted by one person. This is my 6th insignia TV and I would highly recommend the brand based on performance and price. This TV does not have every feature, if you are a tech person, but for a basic TV it is great.

We originally wanted to buy a smart TV, but the price of this TV was unbeatable. We have had it for a month now and absolutely love it. The picture is really great and looks amazing in our living room. I cannot speak to the sound quality, we use our surround sound.
If you are looking for a large TV at a reasonable price, this is definitely the one to get!

We researched a lot of options before deciding on this tv. With a streaming blue-ray player and the wii, we figured we didn't need the built in Smart capabilities. The size is great and the sound is fine for our everyday needs. Streaming content has worked great and I have no complaints!!

A nice 65" TV under $800 may be tough to come by, but I have been pleasantly surprised with the Insignia. The colors are vibrant though you may want to spend some time at first setting up the colors the way you want them as the factory color settings may leave something to be desired. It has been my experience that HDTV speakers are not the best in the industry. However, the sound that the Insignia produces surprised me as well. It has rich bass and can go very loud. Definitely one of the better sound systems I have heard on HDTV speakers. The viewing angles are very good and the ability to label your inputs is a very nice feature. Overall, I am very pleased with this TV so far having owned it a few months now. The fact that it is not a smart TV most likely brings the price down, but when paired with a smart streaming device, you can turn it into a smart TV for under $50. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for the largest screen possible on a budget.

You know, you don't need all the bells and whistles on a TV. This TV is great for us. No problems. We get all the channels. Very good picture. We're very satisfied. Why do we need to spend more than $1,000? We didn't. The sound is good for a TV, but we turn the sound off and use a sound bar. Makes it like a theater in our living room. I don't know what you get on a more expensive TV than you get on this one, but I know I have more money in my pocket. Do yourself a favor. Buy this TV. Plug it in. Watch your favorite show or movie. Think of all the popcorn you can eat with the money you save! I'm serious.

I bought this TV on sale. Chose the Insignia over the comparably priced LG. The Insignia had better features and better refresh rate. It's not a smart tv however is Roku compatible. It has a designated Roku hdmi port. For the price this is a very nice TV. I am still fine tuning the settings for the best picture. However settings are limited. The sound is great. I went to BB to purchase Insignia sound bar. The BB employee did a demo for me. The TV speakers are louder and sound better!! Overall great TV for the price. There is definitely better, but will definitely cost more. This TV is perfect for my large bedroom.

This monitor is easy to install and has a great picture! it is at a great price point too. I have it installed next to a "name brand" monitor, and the picture is equally good at a much better cost!
