Unacceptable. Very Poor Design.

I primarily watch over-the-air, and occasional streaming and casting (mirroring) Specially, I deducted 1 star for each of the following. -1 STAR: The remote was this weird little remote like one you would get from a streaming product (like Roku). There were no numeric buttons to directly enter a channel. You have to page thru channels. -1 STAR: The input defaults to the Home Page on HDMI #1. You have to go into settings to select the Antenna input every time you turn the TV power on. There doesn't appear to be a way to make it a default. -1 STAR: No user manual available (with the TV or on the Insignia website, Just a cheesy 1 page Get Started sheet, which isn't helpful. -1 STAR: Very limited options / preferences that you can set in the options menu, as compared to any other TV I've used. -1 STAR: The color looked off and the back lighting uneven unless turned all the way up (which was too bright for me). -1 STAR: No phone or chat support. Only email support with a promise to respond within 2 business days. That is unreasonable and unacceptable. In summary, very poorly designed.

Don't get an open box

I purchased an open box no remote, no power cable no stand. I was not in hurry and prepared to wait to receive these items. I have purchased open box's from other vendors call warranty and they freely send you the missing components. Not with Insignia, the stand was ~$35 + $10 shipping. The remote was also missing they wanted another $30 for that. You end up paying them more to take it off their hands than getting a new one. This is going right back to the retail store.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sadly, my TV appears defective. It was easy to install and set up Fire TV. Had some issues connecting sound bar. Everything seemed fine for a week or so then we started noticing a horizontal line which would appear near the middle of the screen area and either flow upward or downward. Also there were some screen disruptions during scene transitions. I tried changing all of the video settings on the tv and also on my Directv receiver but the problem persists. I called Best Buy and I am confident they will accept return. My wife will not take another chance on this brand so we will have to buy a more expensive brand now.

Regret
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm only giving this tv two stars since customer service has been decent for the most part . They have replaced this tv twice and like other reviews . I'm getting a horizontal line with direct TV . It's not the provider either that I made sure of . To be honest this tv not compatible if your using it for hd cable . However to fix the problem somewhat change settings to game mode turn down sharpness to -14 since game mode looks like crap with direct TV and color temperature to cool and up the color to +20 . It will make the picture quality look presentable at least.
