Slugging ,Smudgy and grey bars after an year
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started showing smudges and grey bars after less than an year. It was really a great tv when we got it , but it slowly went downhill after that. There was an fire tv update in September and the tv became soooo sluggish that changing input from Tv to playstation takes almost 5 minutes. 1/10 would not recommend at all

Cannot display 1080p/2160p. Only 1080i/2160i.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even among budget TVs, this is complete garbage. Terrible backlight bleeding and color uniformity. Everything feels very choppy even with SmoothMotion turned on. Also, there is a problem where the picture is always Interlaced rather than Progressive despite the input source being Progressive. (e.g. 1080i instead of 1080p). This means the input is being downscaled by the TV.

Great Value, not enough storage
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV deserves more than 4 stars, but not quite 5. The picture, sound and streaming are great. We've had no issues with the tv and we've been very pleased with it. So, why 4 stars and not 5? Well, we are just over a year into this TV and we are a streaming family, we've cut the cord on cable and rely on streaming services and here we are just over a year and the TV keeps telling me it can't update streaming apps because it's out of space. I can't seem to find any help on this topic online, so here I am writing my review to forewarn of this one flaw. From what I have read, this tv only comes with 8GB of storage which I guess really isn't much for those families that stream. And you can't delete apps that you have zero intention of using because they're preloaded or get added afterward when the TV itself updates. So 4 stars it is.

A solid budget choice
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a pretty great TV. I wasn't sure what to expect for something on a black friday deal but it has exceeded my expectations. The image is great quality, the speakers are clear and loud, and of course it's huge. I was worried about delivery but Best Buy uses contractors for that which works out really well. Fire TV, Not a huge fan of its unintuitive nature. It's usable enough and it doesn't lag with the TV's processor so I won't dock points for the ecosystem's flaws. I haven't had any content to test the HDR capabilities with but I expect those to be average at best. I'm sure it's fine for most gaming but you probably won't want high FPS titles on this since I think it's something like 22ms. This is just for if you want a big screen. It is 60FPS with Motion Smoothing enabled by default so if some content looks soap opera-like to you then just go into settings > scroll to bottom > there's something like Display Smoothing Technology > just set it to off. Easy enough. I also haven't tested its bluetooth capabilities and haven't been able to find out information on its connectivity (5.0? 4.1? AC1900?) but it's in the options and if it accepts input devices and mouse or touochpad then that would possibly make your content/channel surfing experience even better, I don't know if I could recommend any TV at full price but at sale price this was better than any TCL, Hisense, or Westinghouse that I could find. A little more than they cost but with none of their flaws.

Great TV. Changing inputs can be a pain
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV looks great and is easy to use. The only qualm I have with it is that universal remotes that I have that with other devices do not change the input. I have to wait for the the TV. I have to go back to the Home Screen and change inputs with the included remote. I think is more design of the TV rather then the inability of the remote. The universal remotes turn it of/off and change volume with no issue.

Flawless.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was nervous to buy a $349 television but this insignia is absolutely flawless and I do not regret it at all. Before this the only thing I would buy was a Samsung but this TV is amazing where I didn't have the money to spend on a Samsung I was able to afford this one and have had no issues whatsoever, not with connectivity to my Amazon Fire Cube nor any other accessory like my soundbar this TV is amazing for the price you cannot beat it

Price & quality meet perfectly.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Way more than expected. Looking out for corner dark spots in corner and found none. Mid weight doesnt feel too cheap just the insignia name. Amazon put in quality on the screen. Boots up much faster than most. Is kinda slow after a few months but like a computer maybe have to clean up memory. Probally needs to focus on giving easy access to option to clean old files if it has the ability. Nice easy interface.

Excellent TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV for the price. The pros are the Amazon Fire TV interface is easy to use, the picture is excellent, setup is easy, the remote is simple and controls my Apple TV, the sound is good. The only cons are the storage isn’t very large, there’s only 3 HDMI ports, and only 1 USB port.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is wonderful I am blind and my daughter was reading about fire TV so she purchased me one for Christmas she said it up and it was very easy I am very very satisfied with this product I had a fire stick and I love it but the fire TV I love more I still have my fire stick on my old TV the fire TV doesn’t have quite as much storage room as the fire stick and that’s OK with me because I can just put my major stream me on the TV and if I want to see a streaming app that’s not on my fire TV I just watch my old TV with the fire stick but the fire TV still holds a lot of apps this is a great choice especially for me because I am blind I hooked it up to my Alexa and all I have to do is tell Alexa what I wanna watch and the fire TV goes right to it

A good and smart TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have this TV mounted on the wall and it’s quite nice. Movies have that 4K “pop” and the audio is great. It can accommodate two HDMI connections and has Amazon Fire built-in (the remove has the same controls one would find on a FireStick remote). The TV by default will open to a screens like the one seen on this page and it is very Amazon-centric (of course). The drive space for programs is low, so don’t expect it to be able to install a lot of programs/streaming services. It also does not have the drive to install any emulators but it can accept USB drives to allow you to stream files from said external drive

Great TV at a Great Price!!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just a good quality, inexpensive television that does exactly what I was hoping it would do. From March Madness TV deals available at the time, to a birthday present being a Best Buy credit card holder as well as some built up points earned from purchases, I got this TV for a little over $300 which is nothing short of a steal for the size & quality of the unit. I have this in my basement & really only use it when all the other tv's are in use around the house. I caught the Stanley Cup playoffs recently & really was smiling about the size. Heck it was almost like being in the arena!! Thanks Best Buy for a great tv!!

Buy the TV

Decent for the price. Would buy again.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV has been amazing for the few years we've had it running. The sound isn't as loud as you would expect when you get to the higher numbers but it's fine for what we use it for. I wish there were a better warranty on it because we did have a motherboard issue but I guess TV's aren't made like they were before and get replaced more frequently. Shown is a photo from the issue we had. Otherwise, it was great.

Happy after Exchange
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When on sale, Insignia with FireTV is my go to TV for all-in one packaging due to value, The FireTV as part of the operating system (OS) on the TV is great as long as you don't load too many apps (leading to below 700mb space; this will cause the television to be slow). Best app that I have been using lately is PLEX (free). I load TV and video files on a computer with PLEX server (free), and I can watch all of my own content streamed to my Insignia FireTV. I got this Insignia 65" for $300 during the one-day sale in late November 2020. Add on the AMEX $25 promotion credit, getting this was a no brainer as I was in the market for another television. Comparing this to OLED or Q series or high end units (>$1000-2000) is not a fair comparison. Those units better be the cream of the crop with zero issues for their price. This TV is what it is. A bargain (< $500) 4k 65" television with FireTV built-in and an average screen. The screen is average because of Dirty Screen Effect. Blotches or shadowy vertical line blobs scattered across the screen (like 2-4). The first unit was very noticeable, so I had to exchange it. BestBuy was great. The original purchase was ordered online with delivery, so I called customer service, and they delivered a second unit to me and took the old unit back. No stock was available locally, but them delivering a new unit was better as I didn't have to find time, large vehicle, and a friend to help with hauling it back to the store. Delivery guys were great. After looking at my two 55" Insignia4k ($250 each) and 46" Hisense 4k ($225), I can tell you that all three have DSE when testing via a DSE test video on YouTube. However, while viewing usual TV content, they are practically unnoticeable unless looking for it during cloudy/smoky, white, light brown scenes. The same case for my newly exchanged 65" Insignia. DSE is still there, but not noticeable since it is further left and not as contrasting as the first unit. I would say, if the picture bothers you for some unknown reason while it is panning side to side, it could be DSE. Don't necessarily look for a video test unless you want to look for it all the time, but if you are considering exchanging the unit, then by all means check if that is what the issue is. You have a good chance of getting a better unit given the number of positive reviews. Worse case, just return for a refund even after the 2nd unit. NOTE: Another option is to look at it from a side angle with a 100% black screen (like on boot) while turned on. You'll be able to see DSE if present - uneven uniformity of the blackness.
