The 65w dual charger from Insignia offers great power delivery for the wealth of devices today that power up over USB C. It offers two ports, giving you the ability to charge two devices simultaneously. The design is not what I'd consider compact, but it's a convenient design none the less, giving you two powerful ports out of one AC plug. 65w power will be sufficient for phones and most tablets, but I've found it lacks the juice to charge more powerful devices at full speed (particularly my laptops and my Mac Book). The phones I've tested, including a Pixel 6 Pro and a Galaxy S21 Ultra both seemed to charge at their full potential (which is less than 65w). Overall, it's a solid option at a reasonable price. I mainly have two things that would have improved this product. One, I do wish there were at least one USB A port. While a large majority of new devices incorporate USB C ports, that still leaves some older devices or some less technology centric devices (baby monitors, I'm looking at you) without a path for getting charged. Two, I wish it would've come with at least one full power charging cable. I'm sure some view this as a positive, given that most people have a lot of USB C cords already, and given this could be considered a "greener" approach to package delivery. I still would've preferred at least one in the package myself. If you now need a charger to combat the fact that your $1500 phone doesn't include one in the box, this Insignia brick is a great option. It's not exactly compact, but the dual ports will ensure you've got the ability to keep your devices charged. Just make sure to bring your cable.

A capable charger but there may be better options

The charger is very well made. It feels very solid and I love how compact it is. Nothing feels cheap. The two wall prongs fold back into the case to make for an even smaller footprint. There is a total of 65w of power available across the two ports (2 USB-C). One minor but annoying thing is that I couldn't read the power output text on the charger. It is printed so tiny and faint that it is unreadable, and I even tried to take a picture and enhance the text. This is important because it appears as though there are differences in the output power of the two ports. If you use just one port, then the full 65w power is available on either port. I was just able to make out the power output for using a single port: 5v/3A, 9v/3A, 15v/3A, 20v/3.25A, 21v/3.25A. However I could not make out the power specs if using more than one port and it appears as though only one port is capable of 20v output when using both. As a test, I fully discharged my laptop battery (4800mAH capacity), and the charger took 1hr 45min to fully charge the battery. Note that the device needs to be able to handle the "IQ" charging standard for the fastest speed. As another test I charged my tablet battery which has a much smaller capacity but is also not IQ capable, and it took nearly 3hrs to charge. So the speed is dependent on the device, not just the charger. All in all I am pleased with this charger and I can charge two devices at once.

this review is for the Insignia - 65W Dual Port USB-C Compact Wall Charger for MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and most USB-C Laptops in the color white. even though almost every new device, aside from most devices made by Apple, now use a usb-c port to charge and transfer any data you need to transfer, there are not a lot of high power, usb chargers with just usb c connections, and, if they have them there is usually only opne port, and it it not a high power charger. There used to be a few chargers like this, mostly with a single usb port, but this one is different; it has two ports, and has a high rate of charging at 65 watts. Its compact design allows you to use it in tighter spaces than a full size one, and, it stays nice and cool when in use. The white color blends in nicely with any room decor, and, the power tabs fold in and out easily,. making it a breeze to use. You have alot of choices when it comes to usb chargers, and the insignia brand is one of the better values out in the market. buy this, you will like it!

The best thing about this charger is the little pamphlet that came with it that shows you all the different ways to plug different items in...laptops, phones, tablets, etc. There truly are numerous combinations and permutations of plugging stuff in. The charger itself is fairly small and compact and has a kind of raised groove (or opposite of a groove) on both sides that make it easy to hold without it slipping out of your hands. In fact, the only criticism I have is that I wish it was textured, then there would really be no need for the raised edge or bevel (unless it serves some other purpose that I don't know about). I tried the charger out with a MacBook Pro 14, iPad Air, iPhone XS and various other USB C type devices and they charged up quickly. I didn't really track the time it took to charge as I'm sure there are specs out there that would provide that information in a more scientific fashion than I could ever do. Regardless, I don't see any major flaws with this device. I recommend it without hesitation.

Super easy to use and a nice compact size. The only trouble I had was I couldn’t plug into the power in a conference table given the angle. I needed a backup for my laptop and it worked great.

High power delivery for only one of the plugs

My initial impression of this is how tall the actual brick is, tech is still limited with high power delivery bricks in terms of size and heat, but compared to Anker power bricks, this is a little tall for 65watts. Besides that it works as intended, sadly only one of the plugs output 65w, while the other is too low for a laptop or system like a Steam deck.

    More Like Slow Charger!

On the box it proclaims "Fast Charger" but it is a slow charger. When using the bottom port alone, it supposedly charges up to its full potential of 65W but when compared to other 65W wall chargers I already have, it charges really slowly. And don't get me started on when I tried using both ports simultaneously, where the box states that the bottom port should charge up to 45W and that it should be used for laptops, while the top port should charge up to 20W and is designated for smartphones. I tried it out several ways, using only the bottom port to charge laptops, tablets, or smartphones, then using both ports to simultaneously charge a laptop and a tablet together, or a laptop or tablet with a smartphone. It was like watching paint dry. Didn't matter what brand or item I was trying to charge up; I tried it on several different brands/items in our household: a Dell laptop, an Acer Chromebook, iPads (Air, Pro, and Mini), MacBooks (Air and Pro), and iPhones (6S Plus, 12, 13, 12 Pro Max). Same results. If all you want to do is charge stuff overnight, this may be the charger for you. However, if you want quick top offs or are looking for quick charge ups during the day, this is definitely not for you. Same goes if you want to charge your laptop/tablet/smartphone while using it--it will actually drain the battery before your very eyes instead of at least maintaining the current charge or charging it up like it's supposed to. I do this all the time with my other chargers, which all charge up my laptop/tablet/smartphone even while I am simultaneously using them. I had high hopes for this charger, as I have had many Insignia-branded items over the past several years which have proved to be just as good as their name-brand counterparts but sadly, this is not the case here.
