Since I wasn't able to purchase the name brands, as Best Buy couldn't keep them in stock due the high demand of chest freezers during the COVID-19... I took the chance on the Insignia model and purchased insurance (just in case). I've had the chest freezer for 30 days and it's functioning as intended. The freezer ramped up quickly once turned on. It's an adequate size to have indoors, great value, and wasn't very heavy to lift with 2 people. My rating will be based on 1 month of ownership.

Man... quarantine cause this hunt to be a really challenge. I finally found one here at Best Buy. It's a great freezer and I am so glad I have it. Easy to set up, quiet and lite. Speaking of lite, the added feature of a light is great feature. The price I would say is comparable, but if you cant find one anywhere... and you have an opportunity to get one and want/need one... GET IT. Do not wait or you shall miss out. I have and finally lucked out.

No complaints about this freezer. I've had it over a year now, and it's kept everything in it frozen well. Lots of space. The light that comes on when the lid is opened is very helpful.

I was looking for something in the small compact. Lightweight. Something that in the could fit in a small. For those leftovor those events where you need an extra storage space, but not really. The old 6 foot tall. Surprisingly, this one wasn't noisy like the older ones used to be or as I wouldn't even know what to say. The cheaper one that I had made a loud humming sound. Which one the house is quiet? Really got on my nerves and it was really just because of the build quality. So I won't say that cheaper is not always the best way to go this one. You could actually lifted with 1 person prior to it being loaded Fully.

Just what I needed. It's the perfect size, works great, simple, and straight forward freezer. I appreciate the light inside too!

Garage Ready-Chest Freezer holds a half beef that I had ordered. Works great and the price was reasonable. I like the inside light on it as well. I have it in my garage. Would buy again!!

Works great, does what it needs, does get a bit of frost buildup on top but nothing absurd. item's size is light enough for average man to lift and move around/place, then just plug and go, was freezing cold after checking back 2 hours later!

I lease a townhouse and the refrigerator/freezer is the typical rental small fridge. I was always maxing out the space in the freezer and couldn't take advantage of meat sales at the local grocery stores. I saw this freezer, read the reviews, and purchased. It's perfect! Sized enough for 2 people and fits a mix of boxed items and bags of frozen meat. I am now able to take advantage of the local meat sales and it's saving me money. Install was easy, it's essentially plug in and wait the alloted time to bring it to the right temp. I did have to put a piece of cardboard under one of the legs since it does wobble, not terribly but enough to make my OCD tendencies to kick in. It doesn't take up that much space in my garage and it's super quiet. I do not regret this purchase!

It's nice to go to Sam's Club and not have to think "do I have room?". I can bulk buy stuff and always have room. I would have gone with the 10 cubic ft if I had the extra room in the garage, but 7 is really solid. It's about the same space you get from a 26 cubic ft fridge/freezer, but it's square so you can fit stuff easier. Sips power - less than $40 a year. I purchased the 5-year warranty on mine since it covers up to $300 of contents. I'm FL with all the lighting, that seemed like a good idea. It's been running perfectly. I have to de-ice it every once and a while. They give you a small plastic scraper, which works ok. I use a large wooden spatula since I misplaced the plastic one. It works much better anyways. There's a drain port on the bottom left if you need to do a full manual defrost.

Have used for 3 weeks - so far very happy. Installed in the garage (we live in cold winter country) and so far the temperature has been consistent based on the thermometer we put inside. Appreciate the interior light. The size is just right -not so big that we loose items and not so small that everything is piled together. The wire basket is useful for small items. Hope the temp remains consistent in the hot summers where outside temps would reach 100+. Very quiet. We brought it home in a medium size SUV - the box is only slightly larger than the frig so after putting the back seat down it fit fine. In one of the earlier reviews someone gave the box dimensions. A sales rep advised if you set it on its side in the car you need to let it sit upright for a while so freon (or whatever makes its cold) can settle before turning it on. I think we left ours upright for 2 hours. Can't verify but we did as he advised and had no problems with the unit.

7 cubic feet is a perfect size for us! Love the interior lighting and auiet operation. Very happy in CT!

We purchased the Insignia 7.0 cu. ft. freezer because our regular fridge freezer just wasn’t cutting it anymore, and I’m so glad we did. This freezer has made everyday life so much easier. What I love most is the size. It’s big enough to store bulk groceries, meats, frozen meals, and extras for busy weeks, but it doesn’t take up a ton of space. It fits perfectly in our garage. Overall, this freezer feels like one of those purchases you don’t realize how much you needed until you have it. It’s practical, affordable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’d absolutely recommend the Insignia 7.0 cu. ft. freezer to anyone needing extra freezer space for their home, garage, or family needs.

This is an awesome freezer, good size, not difficult to move around. Very easy to unpackage.

Works great and holds a lot of food. I have it in my garage as an extra freezer. I works like a charm and don't even have it on its coldest setting. So far I have no ice build up on it and I LOVE the new addition of the light inside. So helpful when searching in the dark when I'm to lazy to turn the main light on lol.

This has been a great freezer so far. We wanted something that added additional freezer space without taking up a huge amount of space in our home this freezer fits perfectly. Freezer has had very little ice build up, easy to install and use. Is relatively light weight so easy to move if needed.

The freezer is perfect for extra storage. I was able to fit 30 good sized cheesecakes in mine with space left for bread and ice cream. The freezer fits perfectly in the garage and is easy to use. It has one knob that turns the freezer on. That same knob is used to make the freezer colder. The freezer is light enough to where I was able to off load the freezer from the van into my garage without help from anyone.

Due to a large leak in my garage last year my old chest freezer had a lot of rust damage on the bottom frame. Each month I would notice the frame seemed more and more damaged. So it was time for a new one. I bought this freezer based on rating from Consumer Reports. I was not disappointed. It cooled down almost immediately. The inside is spacious and easily held enough food for our family of 5. I love the included basket for storing things like popsicles. This way my kids aren't digging around forever for them. However one of my favorite things is the little ice scraper. Such a smart idea. It was huge problem with my old freezer and so glad this one came with it. I live in Central Florida and it gets HOT. This freezer has stood up well to the heat and my items are nice and cold. Would high recommend!
