The other insignia freezer that I own, works perfectly. This freezer, however, has been a waste of time and money. At first the freezer was fine and froze as it should. A couple of weeks later, I discovered that it had stopped getting cold. I found this out because I had food that had thawed and spoiled. The freezer was 75% full to capacity and everything I had in there, had to be thrown out. I looked at the manual, made sure it was closed properly, tried to unplug, defrost etc. Outlet works fine, no outrageous in home temperatures. I tried it again, and plugged it in, then it started working again. Learning my lesson from the previous money waster, I only kept pizza and vegetables in the freezer, while checking it periodically. Again, a week or so went by, it worked fine. Then, it started to not maintain my frozen foods. This has been an endless cycle. I'm not sure what the difference is between this freezer and the other Insignia 7 Cu Ft, but this one is garbage. Of course I can't return it, nor get it serviced since I can't let anyone in my house due to the pandemic, and high risk individuals in my home. If this doesn't work, pull it Best Buy. There is no reason why a freezer should not freeze, as that is what it is designed to do. Not Happy!
