Great freezer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice freezer that I am enjoying. I’ve owned a few over the years and this one is the perfect size for me. Large enough to fit everything and fits nicely in a corner in a spare room. It has a light that I love and the lids stays up on its own. It cooled off quickly and it’s very quiet. And it arrived undamaged. So far I’m pleased. I’m hoping it lasts many years.

Large capacity, but dented

Only issue is freezer was dented when I bought it and didn't find that out until I unboxed in my basement. Was able to receive a discount when I called customer support. Would suggest to open in store or in parking lot if possible.

JUNK !!!

There’s the issue Bestbuy after several calls on hold for 30 minutes and still vague answers to resolving issues. Will be my last purchase from Bestbuy Cannot rate value or quality due to short period of time and no longer useable

Disappointed

My freezer broke down and when I tried to use my membership for the first time to repair/Replace freezer, I went through a lot of hassle. They actually put in the wrong item that I purchased, which was a refrigerator recently, As the item that needed the repair. So at the end of the day, I didn’t get my freezer repaired, Lost almost $400 worth of meat. Now my freezer is out of warranty and have to find a way to get it out of my house. I will not be renewing my total Tech membership. Why is it again that You won’t fix insignia products? Thanks for nothing.

Haven’t used it

That said, the freezer was delivered ok and does not appear to have any blemishes or visible imperfections. I can’t recommend it to a friend because I don’t even know if it works.

Do NOT purchase!

It worked great on day 1 and transfered food to it the next day. Today, little blue light was on but $400.00 worth of food was warm and spokied. I am totally disgusted with rhis useles piece of crap.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we were excited to own this chest freezer in additional to our refrigerator. so we can store/freeze our home grown organic donuts peach and apricot because this is harvest time and we cannot consume them fast enough. unfortunately on the 7th day morning, we found the freezer was suddenly no more working, more than 1000 pieces of my home grown fruit in the freezer were defrost and gone bad (which were also costed us 10+ hours of pick/clean/cut/pack these fruit), pizza and meat in the freezer got deforest, too. we are so upset with the quality of this machine! then we tried all the troubleshooting step, and see if we did something wrong, but we are not able to make the freezer work again. we returned the unit. :(

Not too happy!

Went there 3 times before we could actually pick it up. The first time, it was to to contactless pickup and we actually had to go into the store and then referred to go back to the two people in the computer dept. The second time we went there for this pickup, we waited 20 minutes before someone came out and said that it would be about 30 more minutes before they could get to our item. The excuses were that they were moving things around and that product was in the way and they could not reach it.

Good while it lasted

Sometime around February 2025 things started to act up. I thought I may have not closed it but was thankful for it being winter. Fast forward to April there is something wrong with this unit. The bad thing is Best Buy doesn't do house calls so you have to take it to them to give you an evaluation of what is wrong.

Disappointed

Low stock made this even worse. Third time STILL had dent, but wasn’t as bad so I gave up and kept that one. Very very poor quality control

Got it set up after carrying it home and to the basement. Could not get a can of soda cold - didn't work. NEVER BELOW 43 degrees! Unplugged it, Got the neighbors to again give us freezer space. "Sorry, we consider this a carry-in item you will have to bring it back yourself." Carried it back up the stairs and back to the store Replacement: NEVER GOT UNDER 38 DEGREES! Gave it 24 hours before adding food, still did not work. PIECE OF JUNK!!! STAY AWAY.

light malfunction
