    Defective Freezer Do Not Buy

    I purchased this product on 09/06 and less than 2 months later it has a problem with the seal gasket on top that is letting air into the freezer and causing excess ice to form. I have contacted both Best Buy and Insignia to return this defective freezer but they have refused. Even a store credit is acceptable. I am not going to risk my almost thousand dollars worth of food with a replacement. I expect and hope for a call back. Do not buy this freezer.

    So far thr freezer is working but the lining so so soft that droping a package of meat by accident into the freezer dented the surface. I am worried it will crack if frost adheres food to surface.

    Freezer is great, deliver guys refuse to take the old refrigerator. Kept giving excuses to my mom as to why they couldn't take it. The lift is broke, it is to big to take up the stairs.

    COULD NOT GET WORKING.

    Bought, waited 1 month + to be delivered. Let sit for hours, plugged in, compressor just kept kicking on but could not get this thing to cool. Had plugged in for over 48 hours- should only take 4 to start cooling. No in home techs can come out because of COVID19, so I had to return and now none are available. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, but appliance pros have told me no matter what the brand these are all hit or miss.

    I bought this freezer after waiting for months for it to be in stock. When I unpacked the freezer it was dented secondly I plugged it in and waited two days for it to freeze it never did, had to pack it back up lucky I kept the box, the return was easy and fast but it was the hassle of taking it back.

    We bought this item in Sep 2022, it was working great with no issues. It was perfectly fine 2 days ago, today my wife went to grab some meat and everything was completely defrosted. The freezer was still on (light indicator working) and the interior light works as well, but now hundreds of $ worth of food is gone and we are 4 months out of warranty. Longevity wise it is a piece of junk. I have an old refrigerator/freezer backup I use that is 30 years old and it has NEVER had any issues, don't waste your money.

    Disappointment with quality

    Not really happy with it. I purchased a new freezer. It works fine but with the unaligned top door the ice build up is happening faster than expected. There were some dents on the side and back. I called and complained about it but NOBODY ever did anything about it. Not happy.

    Avoid this chest freezer, missing 2 leveling legs

    1 star due to only coming with 2 leveling legs instead of 4 leveling legs. Over the course of the past month, I have contacted customer service 5 times. After the final follow-up 2 days ago they told me to take the appliance back to the store. Instead of that I went down to my local hardware store and recreated my own leveling legs to compensate for the missing legs. It should not be this difficult to ship $1 worth of leveling legs. To make your own leveling legs you need 2 parts. 1) m6-1.0 x 30 mm cap screws (2 pk) 2) 1/2 inch spacers (2 pk) That will solve the problem of leveling. Now I can put some food in here since it's not all wobbly anymore. I hope no one ever has to call customer service or use the warranty. I will not be purchasing insignia branded products or anything exclusive to best buy after these interactions. I hope the freezer lasts more than 1 year, that would be nice

    Does Not Go Below Zero

    This freezer stays around 5 degrees down to zero, while on max. It should go to below zero with out being on max. Hoping that it lasts a few years despite having it on "full power". We wanted a replacement but none were available- so I wanted a guarantee that I could replace it for free when new ones were made, but I did not receive this promise. The solution from the store was to return it for full credit- which seems fair, except it is 80 miles round trip and I already have products in the freezer that I would have to give away.

    The freezer came dented from shipping from the factory. Best Buy brought out a replacement and it too was dented exactly the way the first freezer was. Best Buy was checking in with the manufacturer to get a new one that was not dented and four weeks later I still haven't heard back from them.

    I bought this freezer in June 2022, and yesterday, I discovered that the freezer is no longer cooling. I did all the necessary troubleshooting -no result. I called Insignia customer service and was told that since the freezer is out of warranty there is nothing they can do. How can an equipment stop performing after one year? Never again!! Stay away from this freezer. Best Buy, you need to do better!

    The freezer is great ,as best buy as a company I will never buy anything from them again ,the warranty they sell are a waste of time to get repairs for you item and for corporate they are a waste of your time to contact them ,and to try to price match they have more excuses they give you ,done with Best Buy ,Home Depot better customer service

    I bought one , got it home , bottom side was smashed , ordered another one , exchanged them , got the other one home and there a big dent in the , we had meat etc ready so I had to keep it , I was not happy at all

    It came damaged and the store was super unhelpful. I got different answers from everyone I talked to. It's cracked where it seals and now water leaks in and freezes. It's messed up i payed so much for this
