    Tripped breaker twice

    Did not work. Brought it home and plugged it in. Immediately, the breaker tripped. Reset breaker and plugged in a different appliance with not problems. Tried the freezer again and the breaker tripped immediately. Not other electric devices were plugged into the outlet both times tried plugging in the freezer. Probably a rare occurrence, but decided to go with a different brand.

    Within a month it overheated and stopped freezing anything. Too bad was a nice size.

    Poor quality control freezer

    Item was already dented when I took the shipping cover off. The Shipping package was in perfect condition. Setting up the unit, it was wobblily. As for keeping items cold, it could do that.

    I initially ordered the 5 cubic foot freezer but the item was damaged so I returned it and attempted to order a replacement but this size was out of stock so I had to order the next size up In exchange for all of my hassle, Best Buy offered the following price adjustment — the 7 cubic foot freezer for the price of the 5 cubic foot freezer — but they never followed through with the price adjustment as promised

    Paid for freezer on april 4th put $460 worth of package ice cream in it on the 8th by the 10th of april all ice melted and was destroyed i purchase warranty to cover spoiled food after going to bestbuy in mayslanding nj 08330 twice with spoiled ice cream inside freezer they told me they would submit report to get refunded for ice cream its been 2 weeks ice cream still in freezer sitting on pick up truck i told them i wasn’t taking it off after going to store twice a poor decision i made with this purchase

    I have never had anything bought a new chest freezer straight out the box and it has three holes in it...please be aware of any products bought by Insignia and best buy read the note

    Great price. Great pick-up service. However,the freezer was a bust. I would not purchase this brand again.

    Failed within 2 years. Unit was kept in garage, failed just shy of being two years old. Cleaned it 1 time to thaw the ice that accumulated near the top. I wouldn’t recommend this unit.

    I drove 2 hours to pick up my product and on the inside it is dented. The outside looks fine but the inside is damaged.

    Purchased 10/15/21. Worked great up until last week 9/20/23 when it just stopped working and will not work anymore. Lost everything in the freezer. Didn't even make it a full two years. Sad.

    A great freeezer for the small family

    Bought this during the early stages of the COVID pandemic and it has been excellent. Hold a great amount of frozen food, keeps it way below zero and is economical to run. The interior light is a big plus; many smaller freezers don't have one. This is in a garage where the temperatures can hit 90 degrees in the summer and it kept it's cold flawlessly. That said, one issue that we think would have improved this model...1. A second lift out basket would be amazing as the current single basket is insufficient to hold all the smaller items that end up in the bottom of the freezer. Otherwise we have to remove a lot of items to dig down to retrieve smaller packages. That's the only improvement I would make. Otherwise nearly a perfect freezer for the smaller family.

    Light stopped working after 8 months and the shelf is terrible. The compressor broke just inside the warranty period as well and Insignia wouldn't warranty and just ignore me now that it is after the expiry. Just avoid their brand like the plague, this is about the 4th product I have had fail or break in the warranty period while they just deny claims no matter what.

    We purchased the freezer at best buy. I got the electric work to support the freezer. But the freezer never worked. I had to dispose all the food in the freezer eventually. Best buy advised to return the item as will not be able analyze the issue.
