Very damaged! Lots of large dents all over freezer.

Only had it a couple months so far, but it works perfectly. Cooled down really fast and is super quiet!

Affordable storage to take the load off the kitchen freezer. Compact but spacious, and very quiet.

The freezer has been a solid purchase. It has worked as expected and has some very nice features for the price such as: interior light, door that stays open on its own when raised, lighted power indicator on front panel. One thing that irked me about the transaction was that during the "curb side pick up" of my unit I observed the Best Buy employee using a two wheeled dolly to bring the freezer down a set of stairs at the store's rear dock area. The freezer was dropped hard down each step. I knew there was going to be some resulting damage to the freezer, but since this was the only unit currently in stock I decided to take a chance on it. Once I got it home and upboxed I discovered dents in the bottom of the cabinet from banging against the metal dolly. The unit has worked well, but it really was a situation that didn't need to happen and puts a damper on an otherwise good experience.

Or old basement freezer wasn't working right. Frozen bread that should have been hard as a rock, was soft! I checked it, it was 25 F. I found the compressor had stopped, it was cooking at 190 F degrees! The old 3.5 CF was full of mostly meat! I checked my local Best Buy. Decided to get a 7.0 CF for twice the storage! I live close by, so it took about one hour to pick up and get the new Insignia down into my basement. After waiting a while before starting, then waiting until it cooled down, we transferred our food to the new freezer! It's been working great. It was running at -3.0 to -4.0 F so I set it back 1/4 turn and it's running at 0.0 to -1.0 F now.

My wife and I love this Chest Freezer. She loves shopping and finding bargains, but our refrigerator freezer is so small that it restricts her ability to really take advantage of great sales on meat and frozen items. Not anymore. This freezer is perfect. Its dimensions allow it easily fit in convenient spaces. Our favorite purchase of the year.

Ok my review is to be taken for what it is. The worst reviews are by people that expected to buy the cheapest Chinese appliance without dents. Well. I just picked mine up. If you have it delivered by some third party (Best Buy doesn’t deliver they offer to connect a delivery service to you) rate the delivery guys. Or at least mention you handed it over to someone after buying. Keep in mind the culture of your particular community and manage expectations. Anyway. The packaging is neat but conservative. It will work if it’s handled properly, but will not protect against mishandling. I would say they’re under doing it, but I hate the colossal boxes and waste that comes with a well packed appliance, and for $175... I think it’s fine and there is minimal waste. Easy opening. Light. Mine, being handed directly to me by a warehouse worker, had zero dents or scratches. Literally the most perfect appliance I’ve bought. As to its working.... also since it was handed directly to me and not thrown off a truck, it seems to have been (and worker stated) handled upright. I brought it home, waited a few minutes and plugged it in. Cooled down quickly. It is cheap. I’ve had other cheap ones that after getting rid of them at 10-15 years old we’re still working fine, but I figure I should expect 5-7 years. The interior aluminum covering is a tiny bit heavier than aluminum foil. Like maybe Restaurant quality aluminum foil. Every freezer I get it’s a little cheaper and more fragile. This one is the next step in cheap. That said, I’ve not had problems in the past, but after a few years they were quite dented up. I’ve owned a couple insignia products before and find them to be the absolute cheapest quality you can buy outside a flea market. That is, handle it with kid gloves and follow proper use techniques and it’ll probably last ok. Put it down hard or expose it to extreme use and it won’t last.

This freezer was available for install within a few days of purchase. Installers showed up right on time and set it up hassle-free. They even took away my old fridge (for a fee). The freezer itself is bigger than I expected and works great. It fits well in the garage and looks great too. Definitely recomment.

We purchased this deep freezer about a month ago. It works like a champ! And I love that it has a light that comes on when you open it since we have it in a dark corner in the basement. I compared units and prices before purchading and am glad I chose this one.

I’ve had this freezer for a month now, and it works great. It gets cold quickly, and it hits the right temperature even on the energy saving mode. No scratches or dents when I picked it up. I highly recommend this freezer. It’s the perfect size for a family of 3, I’m not even close to filling it up yet.

We have had this chest freezer for about a month and thus far it’s working great!!! The interior light might sound like a silly thing, however it is truly a great add! Items seem to freeze quickly and so far my electric bill isn’t showing any increase. Great freezer, especially for the price!

This freezer is a serious bargain. Way better performance than I thought it would be. Perfect fit in the garage. Curbside pickup service was also worth noting. Very friendly and courteous staff. Highly unusual for south Florida.

This freezer is completely silent! Open the lid and presto, a light shines for easy access to frozen stock. It fits perfectly in my kitchen and the height is just below my window sill so my view is unobstructed. Picked up and set up myself, too.
