    I purchased this product in August of 2021. I just recently went shopping and was going to put things in my chest freezer. Everything inside was thawed out. Nothing was salvageable. It took only 4 years for this freezer not to work anymore. I even bought the geek squad protection plan but it was only a 3 year plan. What was in my freezer is no good. Everything had to be thrown out. I would not recommend this freezer to anybody.

    Mind didn't last very long

    The price is nice, but it only wound up lasting for about 6 years before it gave up.

    Don't waste your money

    Don't waste your money! This freezer didn't even last 10 months and stopped working (light on the freezer is lit up but the freezer doesn't cool) resulting in losing a significant amount of breastmilk to feed my baby which can't just be replaced. Tried unplugging and plugging back in as well as adjusting the temperature control and nothing changed. Used the chat feature on Best Buy's website to discuss the manufacturer warranty. They informed me I had to contact insignia directly (even though it is a Best Buy brand) and provided me with a number. Called the number and via a phone tree was informed that nothing could be done until I had the serial number available. What a joke! Off to locate a serial number to probably have to jump through more hoops because Best Buy produced and sold a piece of junk.

    Bad warranty

    Mine broke after 6 months. After going back and forth over the phone with customer service trying to “trouble shoot over the phone” they agreed to look at it. First they made appointment to come over and then they requested I make appointment and bring it over to the store . The issue was that after unplugging and plugging it back it would work for few days and then it would stop again. It’s also a chest freezer so it would not fit in my car. It’s not a laptop. Poor quality product and horrible warranty. I’ll dispose it and buy another one elsewhere

    Broke in less than 2 months!!!

    I bought this freezer for my sister to store her breastmilk she was saving for once she goes back to work. In less than 2 months it broke, and she lost ALL the milk. Any breastfeeding/pumping Moms know how devastating this is. One day they noticed a puddle of water coming out from under the freezer and opened it to see that everything was completely defrosted. The blue light on the outside remained on the entire time too, so don't be fooled if you still see that on. DO NOT BUY!

    Lifespan of 3 years? In this economy?!

    Purchased this freezer in summer 2021 - kept in the garage. The freezer mechanism died last week spoiling thousands of dollars of meat and seafood. Not an issue with the power as the light still came on when opened. 3 years of normal use doesn’t seem like a reasonable expectation for an appliance.

    Both freezers were damaged I ordered y’all need to stop the guys from throwing the freezers around the wear house because they are get damage bad

    Manufacturer Defect!!

    I purchased the freezer on 5/9/23. After bringing it home, I cut the box open and discovered a big dent on the lower right corner of the freezer. Looks like the freezer had been dropped on the corner. The box looks perfect from the outside. I sent an email to Insignia’s customer support and waiting to hear back. It’s such a hassle to have to exchange a large appliance.

    Don't waste your money

    Bought about 3 years ago. Worked OK for about 2 years, but never powerful enough to freeze anything. Had to freeze in my kitchen freezer then transfer to the chest freezer. About a year ago gradually got worse. Probably a small refrigerant leak. Now it's junk. A large recycle item. Don't waste your money.

    A disgusting mess to clean up

    Ours turned out to be junk. Went down into the basement, was greated with a horrible smell and found everything in the freezer rotten. The light was still working, but the freezer wasn't. $100 worth of food ruined, and an inch of rancid liquid in the bottom. What a disgusting mess to have to clean up. We have only had it since September, 2020. Let's see how the warranty process goes.

    Great until it died.

    This freezer was fantastic for about a year and a half. Then it stopped working. Light was on, nothing unplugged, $500 of meat lost. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and now all of my rotten meat is at least frozen so I can get rid of it. I see other reviews saying the same happend.

    Good but didnt even last 2 years

    Bought this brand new from a local Best Buy. This freezer is good but it didn't even last a 2 years. The warranty on this is 1 year only. I would recommend you buy the extended warranty if you have to get this chest freezer.
