    WARNING. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. ZERO HELP FROM BEST BUY ON THEIR OWN BRAND. Purchased and gave to my son to use at college - unit powers on but does not cook (not in demo or control lock mode). No way to return item within 2 week window since unit in my son's dorm with no access to BB location). Customer service agent and "supervisor" were very unhelpful...followed a script and did not care. STAY AWAY FROM INSIGNIA AND BEST BUY PRODUCTS.

    The microwave lasted until a few days ago. Had it for less than a year. It wouldn’t heat anything up and the last try resulted in an electric spark from the back.

    I ordered a microwave in July, but when I opened it last month, I found that it wasn’t working properly. It didn’t heat my food at all. I would like to explore options for getting this issue resolved, as I'm looking forward to having a functional microwave. It was on sale, that's why I bought it. And now i cannot even returned it.

    To save some space we downsized from a 10 year old huge microwave to this beast. The old microwave was too big for our needs. The new one was only used to reheat coffee, leftovers and to cook frozen vegetables. It quit working tonight while cooking Brussels sprouts. No power, no readout, definitely not working. The top surface was extremely hot to the touch. It was purchased 9/30/24, 53 days ago and already broken. We are not even bothering to take it back to Best Buy. I wouldn’t trust it even if repaired.

    By the time I opened the box I only had 4 days to return and was unable to do. The microwave was dented and did not operate. The box was in good condition so microwave was put in damaged. I had to eat this purchase as a loss. So I guess cant rate this purchase.

    One of the microwaves was never delivered and when I called I spent over 30 min over the phone with a rep who barely spoke English to hand up on me without any results. Even the delivery guy said that he will go and call them and check and he just left.

    Item was damaged. Unfortunately due to Best Buy store policy I am unable to return. I suggest if you are purchasing an item for future use you open right away regardless to avoid disappointment.

    Insignia has always been a favorite store brand of mine. I have owned a chest freezer, an air conditioner and a couple different televisions from them. All have been great performers. This microwave is no exception. Now, it's nothing fancy. It's just a simple and small sized microwave. It is perfect for the area, in my kitchen, that it is used. I like the black color. It is easy to clean and isn't an eye sore to me. My previous microwave was stainless steel, which is nice, but my home is older and outdated so it looked out of place. This microwave is smaller too so it fits perfectly in my kitchen. It's pretty lightweight for a microwave, which is good for me, since I have a bad back. The door opens smoothly and closes properly without having to push it to hard. The window is just like any other basic microwave and serves it's purpose. The keypad is simple and straightforward. The buttons press down fine but it does feel a little cheap, but at $89.99, it's worth the compromise. It works as it should. I have heated some left overs, water for tea and thawed out some steaks. It performed well for all those tasks. I'm very happy with this microwave.

    The listed dimensions on this are incorrect. Actual external dimensions according to the packaged specifications: HxWxD: 10.17 x 17.3 x 13.96 in. Disappointed that we went through all the trouble of getting this only to find that the listing information was inaccurate.
