Exactly what we were looking for!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife runs a daycare and needed an extra place to store milk for the infants.This unit was perfect and has an option most mini fridge’s do not have.This particular unit has the option to be either a full refrigerator or full freezer.We find that option very useful.We got the stainless option.It looks very nice and is the perfect size for our purposes.Not too big,not to small.Highly recommended product.

It is in my office and is very quiet. Not a complaint, but an interesting fact, the freezer is very light so you need to use two hands to pry the door open - it seals very tight - if you don't hold it, it slides or pivots. Obviously it is easy to move. The delivery men were on time and very helpful putting it in place.

Decent One Person Small Fridge. Wet Wall Design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this Insignia 7Cu. Ft convertible freezer during presidents day sale for $220. It arrived undamaged and was easy to move and level. Tilt the fridge back slightly when leveling. The seal works well. It looks good sitting in the laundry room next to my hisense chest freezer. It holds ample food for one man. The only drawback to this item is that it is a simple design. It uses 2 not very well designed 'wet walls' to cool while in fridge mode. This means condensation constantly collects on both sides of the fridge internally and drips down to the floor where there is a drain hole in the back left hand corner. I have seen better 'wet wall' designs where only the back was used for cooling and the dripping condensation was channeled into the drain hole much more efficiently and without ever touching a shelf or crisper tray. These designs are quite common in Europe. Once you realize this is normal, its not a big deal and I have had no problem with odors in the past month. At this price it does the job and stays at a fairly constant 34 degree F. with +- 2 degree from top to bottom max variability. The thermostat can be turned a little colder past 'max' for fridge mode if you need it. I do not. At some point it will kick over to 'freezer mode' and is much too cold to be used as a fridge. The cost would be much more to have a properly designed fridge with no condensation and this model does double duty as a freezer.

Great freezer

Garage-ready was a must. Changing the door-swing was a little arduous -- hopefully you have a socket set that is compatible with this. They could have included the tool necessary or make the bolts allen-wrench compatible and include one of those, but no. The screws that were socket-or-screwdriver compatible were really tightened-down and tough to loosen. We eventually got it done.

Great little refrigerator/freezer

Down side lot of condensation, but overall great little refrigerator that can be also used as freezer if needed. Haven’t used the freezer, but if it does well as refrigerator then I’m sure it would be great freezer too. Perfect for dorm, studio or room.
