Works great with new Chromecast with Google TV!

He said that this one or the Belkin version is what works best with Android and Chrome OS. It has multiple memory slots and a ethernet port. No running hot issues or anything.

DID NOT WORK FOR WHAT I NEEDED IT FOR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new MacBook pro. It no longer had a USB 3.0 port, but had the Type-C. I had several items with the USB 3.0. I need this so I could use them. The one item I needed it most for was my Apple Superdrive (CD rom drive). I was told by a store associate that this would allow me to use my superdrive. It did not. I went back to the store and a different associate told me to run power to the adaptor using the laptop power cord. I tried that and that did not work. I then googled and found out I could use a much cheaper adaptor. I paid $69 for this.. I returned this item and bought the single for $4.99, and it worked. This product could be OK, it just didn't run my superdrive, which is what I needed to do.

Good product but not the best design

It has the shortest cable to connect from your computer to a flat surface. They could have added a few inches to give you some mobility and flexibility. I contemplated returning it if I find a longer cable but yet to find one.

Works Flawlessly

For some reason, the first time I tried to use it, it took a solid 30 seconds-minute for my flash drive to recognize on it, but ever since then, it has recognized immediately. Great adapter for the price!
