Have not tested speeds but ethernet connection seems good (fine for HD video calls while also working on internet research).

Necessary hub

Seems to be the norm now. Works great for SD card transfer of photos and also if need Ethernet cable connection instead of WiFi. Cable length a little too short but manageable. Price was ok with a discount from BB due to points accumulated.

Solid adapter, works with Samsung DEX

Awesome adapter

Although I'm not very happy apple has gone away from having usb 2.0 and SD slots etc on the actual laptop, this adapter isn't too much of a hassle to use. It does what it needs to, fast, reliable, just as good as any others.

Works great for Samsung Dex on Note 9

The extra connectivity in the form of two usb ports, memory card reader, hdmi port, and gigabit wired networking makes business work so much easier to get up and go. And the type C power port keeps the phone charged up.

I really like that it has a cord and doesn't take up both of my usb-c ports on my Mac. The cord is helpful because I have a case and the ones that fit flush don't fit on my computer with the case on.

A must have but a small problem

I was backing up a hard drive that is failing to another and that will not work UNLESS you have the power plugged in to charge the computer also.

I bought this because my google pixel book started having issues with ports and I needed a second port for an external monitor. Serves the purpose and will also help when I’m traveling.
