So far so freaking good! The Plug & Play is more than ideal, it's FANTASTIC! You plug the Hub in and it CHARGES your devices automatically. I have an old laptop but much more updated Smart Devices that respond quickly and is quite stable. I haven't yet tested if my External Storage boxes will work the same though.

I have two office locations in 2 states. I somehow left my USB hubs at the other office. Instead of using 2 different 4 port hubs, I chose to go with the 8 port version. It is so much easier to have one place to go to plug in a USB device, instead of finding which other of 2 hubs has an open spot.

Charges all my devices all at the same time and is small.

Our new HP Pavilion AllinOne desktop has only 4 USB ports, not enough for all of our devices. This hub gives us enough for wireless keyboard, printer, scanner, backup drives, etc. It's lightweight and compact. The only issue is that the closely spaced ports make it a bit challenging to add or remove cables.

Working from home we needed a way to utilize 2 monitors, 2 printers and a scanner. This product is able to handle them all with no issues. There is also room to plug in my cell phone charger. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have multiple USB plugged in.

I purchased this USB hub for obvious reasons, to expand the ports on my desktop computer. I wanted to maximize my ports for the lowest price and the Insignia 7-port USB 2.0 Hub did the trick. I have several external devices including portable hard drives, graphics tablet, mouse and keyboard. All of these devices are USB 2.0 and work perfectly with this hub. Transfer speeds to and from the hard drives are just as fast as when they are connected directly to the computer. Overall the hub is great inside and out. The case is plastic but not cheap or thin feeling. It is actually quite sturdy. Thought the hub comes with an external power supply, I do not have a need for it as it powers all of my peripherals through its connection to the computer. I would definitely recommend this item or the USB 3.0 version which is on my list for my next upgrade, it was just out of my budget this time.

When your laptop does not have USB ports, this is very welcome. Plugged into the loading dock controller thingy (I am such a techie). Do I need seven ports? Not all of the time, but they come in handy at various times.

I just purchased a HP Pavilion All-in-one computer. The USB ports are in the back of the monitor and plugging in peripherals, such as external hard drives, etc, is difficult. With the Insignia 7-port hub, using peripherals has been much easier.

Exactly what I was needing! I'm able to have my microphone, keyboard, mouse, ring light, and other items all plugged in and not worry about how I only had two USB ports on my computer originally.

I reviewed this hub prior to purchasing. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase. The extra ports are really useful for charging multiple devices, while I'm using my computer. I like having all my equipment in one location, it add to the convience.

Purchased to increase my ports for USB peripheral devices since my laptop was lacking these. It is small and does its job well thought the ports are close together so if you have a USB that is beefy you will need to think about placement.

Conveniently-sized USB Hub to use on my desk to connect my peripheral devices to for re-charging and connecting to my main computer. However, it seems to get into a weird state whenever I plug in a phone that's completely drained of battery -- seems to make several attempts to connect to it, even though I just want it to charge. Works fine re-charging a phone that has some battery life left on it.

This hub is so useful. I was running out of USB ports on my computer, and instead of adding more, I just thought I'd get this. It really is useful for me because now I have extra ports and I didn't have to upgrade my back panel. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is running out of ports.

needed it to plug a lot of peripherals associated with music production (2 keyboards, USB mixer, midi controller, wireless mouse, etc.). Works flawlessly. Only suggestion for improvement is provide a longer power supply cord.

Great little hub! I needed something quickly in town, found this, then ended up liking it far more than I thought I would. I've been using all seven ports for about a month now and not a single issue. I'm very pleased.

Gets the job done with no issues, can charge many different devices on one plug instead of hunting the room for free outlets. Some devices that support rapid charging don't rapid charge in this item, but they still charge so it is fine for over night charging. That was the only draw back I saw.

I needed additional USB ports (obviously), and this model's price is what drew me in. I've had the Insignia brand products before with no real complaints, and so far this product is working exactly as it should.

I work from home and am on online student. I purchased this product to use with my Lenovo all-in-one computer. With this product, I have enough USB ports for my printer, cell phone charger, and any other devices that require a port.

I purchased this hub to set up multiple iPads using configurator. The device saved me a lot of time and did the job well with no issues or errors. The 7 port hub needs to be plugged into the wall and will keep your iPads from dying but don't expect it to serve as charging station. 4/5

Great addition to my laptop this allowed me to add a usb keyboard and really super wide screen monitor Now I can leave the laptop closed and use it like it was a desktop for my ham radio station and frees up desk space.
