How Much Space Does One Need?

I debated with myself as to how many ports I needed and settled for this one, opting for its price and dreaming of one day buying a new computer. I'm already thinking maybe I should have bought a bigger one. I have big fingers so plugging and unplugging the cables to the ports is an exercise, but I manage it.
