This is the second one I have bought not because the other dont work I got it cause how well it works... I was looking to add something to my pc for flash drives this works perfect for that the other one I have a external hard drive, cd player and a few other things plugged into it

Let's get this out of the way: DO NOT connect the AC power to another USB port. That power is necessary to handle all these extra ports. A laptop and desktop only give out so much power to a USB port, and that AC power is necessary so that each port can be used. Connecting the AC to another USB port on the desktop or laptop will only lead to connection and power issues with the items that are connected.

Having a MacBook Pro is great! Not having enough USB ports for my needs as a music producer was NOT great! I had done research on USB hubs and made my choice on the Insignia and it has lived up to my expectations! I now can have my 3 ext HDDs/iPhone/iPad plugged w/o any lag or power issues.

Some devices are not compatible with a USB 3.0 and have to be 2.0 to initialize properly in Windows. This solves the problem of not enough USB ports and has an external power supply if needed. I didn't need it with a serial port adapter, iPhone charging, USB to RS-485 converter, and a 1 T Hard Drive.

Perfect for our needs. Had lots of devices to bring on vacation and was concerned about how many plugs we would have in the room. This was the perfect solution! I intend to make use of it at home as well. I don't know why it took us so long to get one!

I bought this powered usb hub because I needed a power source to be with me when I’m working with my laptop. Its great priced and its basic when working with all my hardware. It was there and available at the time, it dose what I need it to do so I’m ok with that.

Even though this is a pretty cheap hub, the quality is great. The vertical ports help save space so you can plug in multiple things all at once. Seven ports is more than I need but it's great for connecting many devices.

Great way to organize multiple charging cords and not having to use a forest of charging blocks. Keeps all charging in one convenient spot and only having to use one outlet

I purchased this as a replacement for a similar one that had died after a long service life. This one works and was priced to fit my budget. The only problem is the power cord on this one is much shorter than the one it replaces which caused me to have to re-position some parts of my set up. A hassle but not a real big deal.

I needed an easy way to connect/remove my laptop and the several peripherals I use on occasion. Printer - Keyboard&Mouse, Receipt scanner, all the things where high-speed of a 3.0 hub would not add any real value. The blue light(s) a little bright, but a very small deal.

Works great. I bought a cheap one from another store but it did not work at all and then decided to spend money on this skeptically. Very happy with the purchase. In this day and age things like this should be much cheaper that is why I didnt give full 5 stars in every category.

I needed a USB hub to hook up more USB items than the ports on my iMac allowed. I previously used a cheapie hub which started to give me problems and still wasn’t enough so had to keep plugging & unplugging items. I finally have enough plugs and they all work.
