Don't understand how you guys are using this. It doesn't stay in. I'll come back and my phone or switch is dead because the cord is not staying in. Maybe it's too heavy or something. Overall I hate it.

Excellent, sturdy braided charge and data cable. Has USB type C on each end making it perfect for almost anything. This can be a charge cable and/or data transfer cable for all my various phones or other devices that utilize USB type C connection. This cable is good length at 7 feet, which makes it fantastic if you have your computer under the desk and need length to reach your device, or if you’re like me and enjoy being able to use your phone with it plugged in while lying in bed. The braided construction of this cable has a nice solid feel to it with thick durable braided cover to prevent bends and/or kinks from causing issues or breakage. USB-c Plugs are smooth and snag-free and of course solid as well with reinforced wire connections to prevent breaking or fatigue failure over time. The charging current is strong and manages any size power adapter I have. The cord itself states 60w, but I have 100w, 90w, 60w, and various other strength power bricks and this handles all of them fine without any warming of cord or plugs when handling heavy loads. This cable is also well-suited and works fabulously for data transfers to a computer as well with data support up to a massive 20 Gbps!! This allows for speedy connection and file transfers. Works great with my iPhone 15 to PC connection to transfer pictures and videos. I also tried replacing my external hard drive’s data cable with this and it was full steam ahead and actually transferred faster than the cord that came with the drive. Build quality and design are excellent. Nice aesthetic look as well with all white braided covering and some light green accents on the connector plugs.

The Insignia 7’ USB-C to USB-C cable is an affordable well made cable from Best Buy’s house brand. It is well worth its asking price and does what is says on the tin. The cable itself has metal ends, which feel solid. They connect to rubber reliefs that lead to the braided cable. The cable itself is thick, but flexible enough to use as a power cable in your bag. The cable itself is rated at 60w, and it communicates its power limits appropriately via that PD standard. I found no more than 60.4w ever being draw from a 140w USB-C PD power supply. I verified the power delivery with an inline 240w PD display USB-C to USB-C adapter. I charged my M3 Macbook Pro with this cable without issue. Data rates I had a harder time testing. While it is rated for 20Gbps, this isn’t quite thunderbolt, but surpasses most of my personal 10Gbps devices. I was able to use it to connect to 10Gpbs devices no problem. Large 2GB isos copied to my external drive in a couple of seconds. My external NVMe drives could easily hit a sequential transfer around 1GB/s. I had no connectivity issues with this cable, despite the 7’ length. Overall, I’d rate this cable really high. While I’ve bought cheap cables off other retailers before, I trust the quality here. You get not only safe and reasonable power delivery support, but also a great high speed USB-3.2 data cable. Time always tells, but so far so good with this cable!

As the title says, this is one of the thickest charging cables I have ever seen. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it holds up over the next few months. It seems that charging cables are made so cheaply these days that the port wears out in weeks. This cable is nearly twice as thick and the braiding feels firm and strong. The grips are so heavy duty that it might have trouble in some cases, but it’s well worth the tradeoff. The extra foot of length is also a major benefit. Many cables are six feet so I thought well what’s another foot? But wow the extra reach that foot provides is hugely noticeable. Whether laying in bed or sitting at the kitchen table, that accessibility makes a big difference. I love the super speed I can get from a larger power brick. I can get a half charge on my phone with a 20W brick or higher in less than an hour. I also tried using it to send photos and videos from my phone to my computer and marveled at the transfer speed. I’m sure this would be a great use case for external storage devices as well.

This cable, especially for its low price, does everything you want in a charging cable. It's very sturdy and thick, if you've had problems with flimsy cables in the past, which can wear out quickly, especially if you have a hungry pet in the house, you'll really appreciate this one. It handled every test I could think of, it matched the speed and reliability of cables costing much more. I also appreciated the length of the cable. I know I've spent many nights in hotel rooms for business, and depending on the room layout, often the outlet was often just a little too far from the bed to use my laptop in bed while it was charging. This seven foot cable should take care of most of those problems. I also apreciated the little features it had. An example is the heavy rubber wrap-around tie attached to the cable is perfect to keep the cable compact and folded neatly in your storage bag until ready for use, especially for a cable this long. Bottom line, as I said before especially at this low price-point, this charging cable is a winner.

This is a great and super durable USB type C to type C cable. Like seriously if it was longer you could hang off a mountain with this thing. It is made from a braided fabric material. Both connections are type C USB. The cable is very thick but still flexible. Supports up to 60w for fast charging, which is great for future proofing. Data speeds are rated for up to 480 MBS, which is the equivalent of USB 2.0. There is a cable tie attached which is great because I bought another to connect my phone with Android Auto with no issues or connection issues unlike some other cables. It works great with my laptop also when using a memory card reader or external hard drive. One of the most durable cables I have tried for sure. Could be more than needed for basic charging but it's a much better quality cable than most and the cost is still less so there is no reason not to buy these in the length that you need. I would certainly recommend it for any type of connection or charging applications. Nice job Insignia.
