The slight wetness begins to evaporate as soon as you open and unfold the thin 5"x7" cloth. You have just a few seconds to clean before the little wipe is nearly dry. It does make the phone feel cleaner, so I guess it does what they claim... if you hurry. The main benefit here is portability. You can put some packets in your purse or car and always have them handy. Overall, it might be better to buy 70% isopropyl alcohol and just use a spray bottle and a microfiber rag. They actually sell that exact kit but it's $12. I can make my own for just a few dollars.

The alcohol will strip the screen of its top coat over time, especially if you use it on a non glossy computer monitor. ther best way to clean tvs and monitors is to use non alcoloic wipes or a microfiber cloth with distilled water.
