Disgruntled isn't the half of it.

I've had it about 10 months now and 3 months in it started acting glitchy. Usually unplugging the TV and plugging it back in would take care of the issue. But last night it went bonkers. Having a background in IT I did a thorough troubleshooting session, which solved nothing. I tracked down the issue as definitely being the TV itself, after ruling out the sound bar, connected devices, and the Bluetooth remote. Essentially the TV will volume up and volume down at will over the course of the life of the TV so far. And when this happened we could unplug the TV let it reset and plug it back in and it wouldn't do it again for a month or so. But last night it started deciding it was going to just act a fool all on its own. In addition to the volume issue, it started switching between HDMI inputs on its own, changing fire TV accounts on its own, and generally acting like there was a ghost in the machine. I did a factory reset hoping that would get us back to square one as much as I hated to because of all the time involved and reentering logins for different streaming services; while while trying to set up the Wi-Fi connection the TV just continued to type in its own Wi-Fi password and ignoring any entry I was trying to make. I had enough so I contacted Best buy total tech support, which isn't cheap but I have paid for for 3 years now. I got zero troubleshooting through support, simply offered an in-home support visit which is 2 weeks from now. Not the kind of help I would hope to get for an add-on, semi-expensive support plan. Having browsed the interwebs looking for answers to what might be the issue nothing sounds like anything they're going to pay to fix, and as such, I seriously doubt this TV is going to get repaired. In the meantime I'm going to sit here without a TV for 2 weeks unless I decide to go buy another one. I'm on the fence right now, because I'm a very well just buy another TV cancel my total tech support and forget Best Buy as an option for major electronic purchases.

Okay TV, definitely wish I bought something else

I've noticed lately that when streaming 4k, the TV will flash green lines. It doesn't happen often, but its very frustrating when it does.

Terrible purchase
