    The wire as a whole is a good purchase, especially if you don't have a lot of room in your camera bag (I didn't). Although one end of the wire is HDMI, the video quality when presented on an HDTV isn't quite HD - a thicker gauge wire is probably needed. But if you want a wire to use on the fly right after you take the pictures to be shown on any HDTV, thus is a good pick
